Save the Date - School Dance/Social
The PTO and Student Council are planning the Spring Fling Dance & Social for NRMS students in Grades 6-8. Friday, May 9, 2025 at NRMS from 6pm-8pm. Hello NRMS Families,
Happy May. We got back into our routines this week following the spring break. As much as we are enjoying the wonderful weather, "4th term fever" is definitely beginning to appear with some students (not all) checking out too early and/or having some unexpected behaviors. This happens in schools in the spring when students can see the summer in sight. Let's partner together between school and home to keep students locked into their job as scholars and support them to finish strong. This means continuing to complete assignments, study for assessments, and be at school, on time, every day ready to go with fully-charged Chromebooks and whatever other supplies and materials they need for class.
With the arrival of May, we do look ahead to the final seven weeks of school and we see so many wonderful events on the horizon. The complete list of these events is below. Next week are the two sessions of the math MCAS for all students. Our 8th graders will also have MCAS assessments in Science/Technology/Engineering and Civics during the month of May. Aside from these assessments, we have concerts, drama performances, field trips, field day, and all of the end of year ceremonies in May and June.
Next week is Teacher Appreciation Week. Our teachers are the reason Nauset Regional Middle School is such an outstanding school. Please reach out to the PTO (ptonrms@gmail.com) to see how you can get on board with any of their plans to honor our teachers. Any way that students and families can say thank you to our teachers makes a huge difference in letting our educators know they are valued and appreciated.
