Principal's Message
Dear GTMS Families,
As we close out the month of February and welcome March, I would like to extend my sincere gratitude for your continued support and understanding as we adjusted our schedules to welcome the Arthur Rann students and staff into our GTMS community. Your flexibility and encouragement have helped make this transition a positive experience for everyone.
This past month has truly reflected what it means to Respect the Paw — respecting ourselves, others, our school, and our community. Our students and staff have shown kindness, patience, and leadership as they helped our K–3 visitors feel safe, supported, and welcomed. It has been wonderful to see our school community come together in such a meaningful way.
We are truly enjoying having the Arthur Rann Dragons at GTMS and watching them become part of our school family. They may be Dragons now, but they are future Grizzlies at heart.
"Strong communities are built when people care for and support one another." This experience has shown the strength and pride of the GTMS community, and I am grateful for the role our families have played in making it successful.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support.
Warm regards,
Paula Junker

Respect the Bus
Students are recognized by their bus drivers each week who are doing the right things on the bus as well as being a student leader. At the end of the month students names go on the wheel for a chance to win a limited edition GTMS T-shirt and all the blue post cards are mailed home to the parents. For February we would like to recognize Vincent Carchidi, Cassidy Malouf, & Alyssa Crane

January Attendance Streak Winners!
374 students earned perfect attendance and were treated to Philly Pretzels for their commitment to being in school every day. A special thank you to Officer Bennett from COPS in Schools for helping us hand them out and celebrating our students’ dedication to showing up and staying engaged!
Trip to ACCC
Our 8th grade students recently visited the Atlantic Cape Community College Mays Landing campus for an engaging Career Exploration Day. During their visit, students participated in hands-on workshops connected to a variety of degree programs and career pathways offered at the college.
This experience provided valuable insight into future educational opportunities and encouraged our students to begin thinking about their goals beyond middle school. We are proud to provide opportunities that support college and career readiness while expanding our students’ vision for their future.
💙Perfect example of what it means to Respect the Paw 💙
GTMS CORE VALUES
Do you know what it means to be a GTMS Grizzly?
At GTMS, being a Grizzly means more than just showing up to school—it’s about embodying our core values and “Respecting the Paw” in everything we do.

Harassments, Intimidation & Bullying (HIB)
It is imperative that we continue to teach our students the effects that bullying has on others and a community. Every student deserves a safe and supportive learning environment, free from fear and harassment. Any instance of bullying should be promptly reported to the administration or staff member, who will take immediate and appropriate action to address the situation. By fostering a culture of kindness, empathy, and respect, we can create a school community where all students feel valued and accepted.
