Strasburg Elementary Newsletter
October 24, 2025
Dear Strasburg Elementary Tribe,
It’s been a wonderful fall here at Strasburg Elementary, and we are so proud of the hard work and positive energy our students bring each day! As we head into this next stretch of the season, we’re excited for the fun and connection our upcoming events will bring, from our Trunk or Treat, to our Veterans Day Assembly, and our Thanksgiving Lunch with families. These moments are what make our school community so special. Thank you for your continued support and for being such an important part of our school family. We can’t wait to celebrate and come together in the weeks ahead!

Remote Learning Plan for Bad Weather Days
As we head into the colder months, please take a moment to review our Remote Learning Plan for snow days or other weather-related closures. Cold Weather Recess Policy
To ensure the safety and comfort of all students during cold weather, we will hold indoor recess when either the actual temperature or the wind chill is below 20°F.
We use the most recent local weather data at the time of recess to make this determination. When temperatures are 20°F or above, students should come prepared to go outside with appropriate winter clothing, including coats, hats, and gloves.
Fresh air and outdoor play are important, but safety comes first—so please make sure your child is dressed for the weather each day.
Inclement Weather Arrival
To keep all students safe and comfortable during bad weather, we will have indoor arrival when temperatures or wind chill drops below 20°F. Please check the sign on the front door to see if your child should enter the school through the front instead of going to the playground.
Unclaimed Lost and Found
As we prepare to donate unclaimed items from our Lost & Found, we urge everyone to check the collection one last time! If you've misplaced anything—clothing, accessories, or personal items—please take a moment to stop by and see if it’s waiting for you. We’ll be donating all unclaimed items soon.
A reminder about our start times.
The first bell rings at 7:50 AM, and students should line up on the playground to go to their classrooms. If they arrive after this, please have them enter through the front doors.
The tardy bell rings at 7:55 AM, so students should be in their classrooms by then to avoid being marked tardy. Late arrivals must check in at the office to ensure they’re counted present for lunch. We appreciate your cooperation in ensuring your student arrives on time.
