My husband and I were born and raised in Nogales, Arizona. We have been married for 22 years, and we have two kids. Our daughter, Fernanda, graduated from Basha in 2018 and is graduating from ASU this month with a bachelor’s degree in Spanish Linguistics. Our son, Marco, is a junior at Arizona College Prep.
What are your favorite hobbies?
I love anything that has to do with books. I love reading, whether it’s an audio book, paperback, or my Kindle.
What is your favorite TV shows?
I don’t watch much TV, but if I do, it has to be a good mystery or crime show.
What is your favorite vacation spot?
My husband and I celebrated our anniversary in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, which has since become my favorite vacation spot.
What is your favorite food or restaurant?
The Chuckbox in Tempe by ASU.
What is your favorite sports team?
I’m a little biased, but I love watching my son play football at Arizona College Prep. My second favorite sports team is ASU Football.
LIVING THE MISSION
by Dean DeCaro
Kindness
Thanksgiving officially started the “giving” season across the nation. This benevolent gesture is influenced by “kindness.” Kindness matters because it is contagious, and it has a proven domino effect. For example, the “Pass It Forward” movement, by doing random acts of kindness for other people, has been inspiring and changing people’s lives. There are many ways to show kindness and invite you to do a random act of generosity this season. Whether it is writing or saying a compliment to another person, or doing chores without being asked to do so, is a small considerate step. Let us live the mission and be kind this holiday season!
