Physical Education
Welcome to Physical Education! 🏃♀️
Dear Parents and Families,
Welcome to a new school year in P.E.! We are excited to help students stay active, healthy, and confident while having fun through movement and fitness.
🌟 Great Things Happening in P.E.
✅ Staying Healthy and Active Students are learning the importance of daily physical activity, healthy habits, teamwork, and making positive choices that support lifelong wellness.
✅ Learning to Tie Shoelaces One of our exciting life skills this year is learning how to tie shoelaces independently. This skill promotes responsibility, safety, and confidence both in and out of P.E. class.
✅ Fitness Gram Assessments for 3rd and 4th Grade Students in 3rd and 4th grade will participate in the Fitness Gram assessment. This program helps students understand their fitness levels and set personal goals for improvement. Fitness Gram focuses on health-related fitness and encourages students to develop healthy habits for life.
💧 Water Bottles Needed
Please have your child bring a water bottle labeled with their name to P.E. each day. Staying hydrated is important, especially during physical activities and warm weather.
👟 P.E. Reminders
- Wear tennis shoes on P.E. days.
- Dress comfortably for movement and exercise.
- Bring a labeled water bottle.
We look forward to a fantastic year of fitness, learning, and healthy living. Thank you for your support in helping your child succeed in Physical Education!
Healthy Hearts, Active Minds, and Strong Bodies!
Sincerely,

Music
Dear Rees Parents,
I am Ms. Wilkins, the Rees Music Teacher. We have started the year with some fun music activities!
- Grades K-2 are singing tunefully, keeping a steady beat, playing some “Hello” games, and learning about structured and unstructured creative movement!
- 3rd and 4th graders are singing tunefully in 2 parts, exploring rhythmic drumming, and playing some “Hello” games and mixers. They are also learning to read notes on the staff in preparation for our instrument units.
- If your child is in 3rd or 4th grade, please consider letting them join our “Rees Choir”! We are looking for highly motivated students who will meet once a week after school to rehearse songs and instruments. They will have multiple opportunities to perform and reach out to the community. We will also be using recorders this year. If they still have their recorder, please have them locate it and bring it to school. There will be a link to purchase one the second week of September.
Thank you! Jennifer Wilkins -
