Principal's Message
Dear families,
I want to extend my gratitude to all of you for your active participation in our recent Trunk or Treat event. It was a great success, thanks to your support.
Over the past week, we've had several exciting events, including the "Principal for a Day," our October Parent lunch, a field trip to the simulation center, and our productive PTO meeting. Your involvement in these activities is genuinely appreciated.
I would also like to take this opportunity to welcome the newly elected PTO board members. We look forward to their contributions to our school community.
Our parent-teacher conferences will continue as scheduled.
We encourage your active participation in the upcoming Red Ribbon Week dress-up days. Students are invited to wear costumes portraying their favorite book characters this Friday. Students will not wear masks inside the building. Also, please refrain from sending any fake weapons to school. If a student brings one, we will have to keep it in the office until the end of the day. Please note that there will be no costume day on Halloween itself.
Please see below for the sign up and information on November's parent lunch.
Once again, thank you for your continued support and involvement in our school. Your dedication is greatly valued.
Sincerely,
Dr. G

Hello Biomedical Prep Families, Happy Fall Break! As your School Counselor, I am always hoping to provide the best services possible to families and students. Your feedback is very important to me! Please fill out this parent survey to provide feedback on my counseling program. I will use the results to tailor my offerings to student and family needs :)
As you may already know, October 23rd-27th is National Red Ribbon Week! Red Ribbon Week is a national substance abuse prevention campaign that began as a tribute to fallen DEA special agent Enrique Camerena in 1985. We will celebrate with a week of dress up days and a daily feature in the morning announcements about making safe and healthy choices.
In honor of Red Ribbon Week, my classroom lessons in K-2nd over the next 2 weeks will focus on Safe and Healthy Decision-Making.

Lunch Sign Up- November
We are excited for our Parent Lunch on Thursday November 16th. As a reminder, if you attended the October Parent Lunch, please do not sign up for the November parent lunch. This will allow more families to have an opportunity to eat with their student. Only 1 adult is able to join their student due to available seating in the STEM room.
To ease the check in process, please create an account on Voly. Please contact Ms. Maffucci at gmaffucci@dallasisd.org with any questions.
GT Updates
Unfortunately, GT testing did not occur during the announced window due to unforeseen circumstances in Advanced Academic Services.
However, testing has begun this past week! Once the testing window closes, your child will receive a letter notifying you if they were admitted or not into the program.
You can expect notification the week of 10/30. Because I am serving two campuses, please look toward the end of the week for the letter.
Please let me know if you have any more questions.
