The Weekly Wildcat
News and information from Dr. VanRheen, Principal
Message from the Principal
We had a great first week of school. I have loved the energy and excitement from the students and staff.
Parking lot reminders. All drop-offs and pick-ups need to be on the east side of the building. The west side of the building is a bus loop only. No drop-offs or pick-ups on the west side. Thank you for observing all crosswalks. We are a busy campus before and after school.
Help your children prioritize rest, we have five full days of learning coming up!

Looking Ahead
Thank you for referencing this calendar for days we are not in session.
Save the Date
LHS FINALS
The high school takes finals at the end of each semester. It is important that students are in attendance. This semester finals will be on December 16th, 17th, and 18th.
Thank you for making these days an attendance priority.
New Phone Policy
This year students will not be able to have phones during the school day. The school day starts as soon as a student enters the building and ends at 3:05.
We will review this policy with all students to start the school year. Thank you for your support to improve the academic environment.

Emergency Drills
This upcoming week we will practice two safety drills.
Tuesday we have a lockdown drill. Thursday we will have a fire drill. I will alert staff and students prior to the drill letting them know we are practicing a drill.

Wildcat Connections
The beginning of the school year can bring excitement, new opportunities, and sometimes a few extra worries- for students and families alike.
I want every Wildcat Family to know that you don’t have to navigate challenges alone. If you need help with school supplies, clothing, food, community resources or other support, please reach out.
The start of the school year can also be a difficult transition for some students. If your student is feeling more anxious, overwhelmed, or hesitant about returning to school, please encourage them to stop by and see me. Whether they need someone to talk to, help problem solve, or simply a quiet place to regroup, I am here to support them.
My goal is to help every Wildcat feel supported, connected and ready to have a successful school year!
