Panther Cubs Press

Dear Luce Road Families,

🍎🐾 Week Six Highlights at Luce Road

We’ve made it to week six, and our Panther Cubs are thriving! From morning greetings to afternoon goodbyes, they are showing pride in their routines, courage in trying new things, and kindness in the way they care for one another. Every day, we see them ROAR with confidence as they grow in both learning and character. 📚💙

🌟 Learning in Action

This week, classrooms were buzzing with curiosity and discovery. Our Cubs practiced literacy and math skills through songs, games, and hands-on activities. Teachers are weaving in stories, movement, and teamwork, giving every student a chance to shine. The joy of learning is alive in every corner of Luce Road!

🎨 Creativity and Connection

Our Panther Cubs expressed themselves through art, music, and dramatic play. These moments build imagination, strengthen friendships, and help our littlest learners find their voices. Whether painting, building, or sharing in circle time, creativity continues to be at the heart of our school community.

🐾 Preschool and Toddler Cubs

Our GSRP Preschool Panther Cubs are settling into routines beautifully, showing excitement in their projects and pride in their family connections. This week included sweet moments in Ms. Emily’s class as students shared presentations with families.

Meanwhile, in Toddler Care Program- Preschool Experience, Ms. Lynnie and Ms. Brea are guiding our littlest Panther Cubs through songs, sensory play, and gentle routines. Their classrooms are full of laughter, hugs, and little steps toward independence.

🍏 Up Next: Johnny Appleseed Day

Next week, we’re diving into apple themed learning as we celebrate Johnny Appleseed Day! 🍎🌳 Our Cubs will learn about this American folk hero, explore apples through stories and hands on activities, and maybe even enjoy a tasty treat or two.

🧸 Childcare for Alma Families

We continue to expand childcare services for our community, offering:

• Before and after school care

• Care on non-school days

• Snow day coverage

Please reach out to our office for enrollment details.

💙 Where Little Panther Cubs Begin Big Journeys

At Luce Road, we are proud of the way our Cubs are growing into caring, curious, and confident learners. This is where Little Panther Cubs begin big journeys—and week six shows we are well on our way! 🐾

Warm regards,

This is how we Take Chances, Make Mistakes and Get Messy! Our little Panther Cubs are learning to ROAR with pride and how “we do school”!

School dismisses at 11:33.

We are offering Early Release Care for PK–5 from 11:30 am to 3:00 pm at Luce Road. Bussing to Luce Road from the other elementary schools is available. (see flyer below)

Please help your child dress for the weather. Our Panther Cubs have outdoor recess 3 to 4 times a day. Mornings can be chilly, so send a jacket or hoodie and closed-toe shoes. Students are expected to go outside each time. Please label all items with your child’s name. Thank you for keeping our Cubs comfy and ready to play!

Please send your child to school with a daily snack. Teachers also welcome whole-class prepackaged nonperishable snack donations. Healthy options are encouraged ( Whole grain crackers, Goldfish, graham or animal crackers or pretzels, rice cakes, popcorn, dry cereal cups etc.). Please check with your child’s teacher for any classroom allergy guidelines.

To pick up your child, please show your Pick Up Line Tag. If you do not have it, you must present a photo ID to the office staff. This is required every day, even if you forgot your tag.

For safety, please do not remove your child from the pick up line until a staff member dismisses them. Thank you for helping us keep all students safe.

Parents and guardians, please label your Panther Cub’s belongings, including backpack, coat, lunch box, and water bottle. Our Lost and Found is filling up, and labeled items can be returned quickly. Thank you for your help!

Please make sure you send a change of clothes in for your student. Sometimes accidents happen and it’s helpful for them to have a change of clothes.

Please make sure ALL of your student’s belongings are labeled with their name! If it gets lost, staff will know who to return it to!

We offer before and after school child care for our K-5 students. This program is housed at Luce Road ECLC. Drop off begins at 6am for before school care and pick up for after school care is until 6pm.
