Jaguars of the Week
Tomorrow is an Early Release Day for students in first - fifth grade. Students will get out at 1:40 pm.
Jaguar Dens - TOMORROW
Tomorrow is a Jaguar Dens day! Students will come together in their cross-grade level dens to build community and connect with classmates from other classrooms. As part of our school’s 60th Anniversary celebration, each den will also contribute to a special commemorative quilt. This collaborative project is a meaningful way for students to express school pride and creativity while honoring our school’s history. We’re excited for another great day of learning and bonding!
McTeacher Night on MONDAY
Skip the cooking and join us for McTeacher Night on Monday from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at McDonald's! Enjoy a night out with your family while supporting the DuJardin PTO. A portion of the evening's sales will go directly back to our school. We hope to see you there!
Junior Achievement Next Week
Next week, DuJardin students will participate in Junior Achievement, a special learning experience where students from Lake Park High School will visit our classrooms to teach engaging, age-appropriate lessons about business, economics, and career readiness. This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to learn from older peers while building real-world skills in a fun and interactive way. We’re looking forward to a great week of learning and leadership!
Next Friday - Student Council Tropical Day at DuJardin
Next Friday is Tropical Day at DuJardin! 🌴☀️ Sponsored by Student Council, students are invited to wear their favorite tropical shirts, leis, sunglasses, and beach-themed gear to celebrate the sunny season in style!
Mental Health Awareness Month
May is Mental Health Awareness Month, a time dedicated to raising awareness and understanding about mental health issues. At DuJardin, we recognize the importance of supporting the mental well-being of our students, families, and staff members.
As parents, you play a crucial role in nurturing your child's mental health. It's essential to create an open and supportive environment where your child feels comfortable expressing their thoughts and feelings. Encouraging healthy habits such as regular exercise, nutritious eating, and adequate sleep can also positively impact mental well-being. Here are some suggestions on how you can help support your child's mental well-being:
- Open Communication & Active Listening
- Establish Routines
- Promote Healthy Habit
- Limit Screen Time Practice
- Mindfulness Seek Support When Needed
School District 13 is excited to continue the CARES program—an innovative, community-centered initiative designed to improve access to quality mental health services. CARES (Community, Advocacy, Resilience, Engagement, and Support) connects families with local mental health providers based on individual needs, simplifying the process of finding help and scheduling appointments.
