Message from Nicole Pease Principal
Hello DCS families, as has been our current pattern, we had a lot going on at DCS this week! Parent Anna Haber come to school to demonstrate a print making process using shallow objects. The students were very engaged in making the prints which we are planning to be the cover for journals. That evening at the School Board Meeting several students presented about the many community connections we have. The students did an amazing job! Many thanks to Heather Fletcher for ensuring the students were prepared. Thursday we celebrated Memorial Day with a school wide assembly. The students shared the meaning of the day, and sang songs to honor the holiday. Dublin Resident and Veteran Hank Campbell spoke about his service in the military and the time he spent at the South Pole; it was very interesting to hear about that experience. DCS then traveled to the Dublin Cemetery to place flags at the headstones of Veterans. It was a very special trip and our students showed great respect. We very much appreciate Brian Barden and others for their guidance in this opportunity! I hope to see many of you at the Memorial Day Parade on Monday at 11am. Take care, Nicole
