Halloween Celebration Next Friday!
Get ready, Mustangs! Our Superhero Halloween Parade is almost here! We can't wait to see everyone's creative costumes on Friday, October 30th! As you prepare, please remember our four important costume rules: no fake weapons, keep costumes spooky but not too scary, make sure masks don't block your vision, and wear safe, comfortable shoes. Let's make this a SUPER fun and safe celebration for all our Mustangs!
Halloween Celebration: Summary of Events!
Get ready for a SUPER Halloween celebration at Marvin this Friday, October 30th! Our parade will begin at 7:55 AM with TK, followed by all other grade levels. Students will put their backpacks away before the parade, while families gather on the Joint Use Field (JUF). Parents are welcome to watch from the center grass area, as the perimeter of the track will be reserved for our students. Immediately following the parade, students will head to our Family Spirit Assembly from 8:15–8:25 AM. We kindly ask families to wait until all students have exited the field before following through the lunch arbor gate, allowing students time to get settled in the assembly area. We can't wait to see all our Mustang superheroes in action! See the Below Map for our Parade Layout!
Family Spirit Assembly!
Mustang Families, join us for our Family Spirit Assembly this Friday, October 30th, at 8:15 AM, directly following our Halloween Parade! All families are welcome! Once the parade ends, please allow students to exit the Joint Use Field FIRST so they can safely make their way to the assembly area and get settled before families enter. Once students have exited, families may follow through the Joint Use Field entrance to join us for the assembly. At the conclusion, please exit through the gate by the front office. We can't wait to celebrate our Mustang spirit with you!
Cluster, District, or Community Events
Apply for School Choice!
School Choice for the 2027–28 school year is opening soon! Families interested in attending a school outside of their neighborhood school may apply to up to three schools during the Priority Choice Window from October 5 through November 15, 2026. Applications received during this window will enter the January lottery together, and families will be notified of offers by email. Please review the information linked below for important details, including TK enrollment, transportation, parent workshops, and additional support. Spread the word to friends and families wanting the Mustang community!
Smart Watches & Devices
As a reminder, smart watches, cell phones, and other personal devices may not be used during the school day. We have recently had incidents with students using them to text or make calls during instructional time, including receiving calls and messages from family members. To help protect valuable learning time and keep our classrooms focused, please ensure your child's smart watches are placed in “School Mode” and all devices capable of calling or texting are stored in students’ backpacks throughout the school day. This is in alignment with district policy. Thank you for partnering with us to keep our learning environment focused and distraction-free!
Heart of Marvin- Staff Shoutouts
See a Marvin staff member doing something amazing? Celebrate them! Whether they went the extra mile, showed kindness, supported a student, solved a problem, or simply made our school a better place, we want to hear about it!
Families are invited to submit a Staff Shout Out and help us recognize the incredible people who make a difference for our Mustangs every day. You see it. Celebrate it. Share it! CLICK THE IMAGE!
