Blue Jay Briefings
October 2024
Blue Jay Families,
The 2024-2025 school year is off to a great start! As we welcome the fall season, I’d like to remind you of a few important things. Our school district has so much going on, and we’d love for you and your students to be involved. Please make sure to stay informed by reading the district, building, and classroom newsletters to stay up to date on opportunities to stay connected.
This year, our district will continue focusing on improving student attendance. Attendance plays a critical role in student success, and over the past few years, we’ve noticed a decline. Every missed day of school can impact a student's learning and progress. When students are present, they have the opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions, participate in hands-on activities, and build strong relationships with their peers and teachers. I encourage you to prioritize your child's attendance and make every effort to ensure they are in school on time, every day.
Your support will make a significant positive impact on their educational experience.
Let’s work together to make this school year a masterpiece!
Proud to be a Blue Jay,
Mike Henry
Superintendent

See it, Hear it, Report it!
At Marshfield Schools, the safety of our Blue Jays is a top priority. We believe that by working together, we can continue to provide a safe environment for our students, staff, and community. If you see or hear something concerning, don’t hesitate—report it!
September Teacher Proud Tuesday Recipients
We are incredibly grateful for our dedicated teachers! Check out these amazing Blue Jays!
Stefanie Fryman Webster Elementary School: Stefanie is so kind and loving to all her students. She has a way of making everyone feel welcome.
Amber Butram Hubble Elementary: Mrs. Amber has been great about addressing all of my concerns about my son starting kindergarten as well as done everything she can to make him feel welcome and excited about kindergarten.
Laura Day Shook Elementary School: Mrs. Day is my daughter's teacher this year, and she has already made her feel so welcomed, comfortable and loved. She has expressed her love of reading aloud, which has encouraged my daughter to think it's cool, and for that I'm so thankful. To sum it up, she loves her job, and it shows. She is a great teacher, uniquely her own.
NOMINATE A TEACHER TODAY
Marshfield Schools is excited to join districts across the region and the Greater Ozarks Cooperating School Districts for "Teacher Proud Tuesdays!" On the second Tuesday of each month, we’ll be highlighting some of our fantastic teachers—but we need your help! To nominate an outstanding teacher for “Teacher Proud Tuesdays,” CLICK HERE.
Nominate as many teachers as you'd like! Keep in mind that nominations will carry over from month to month, so there's no need to repeat your submissions. We look forward to celebrating our amazing teaching staff through this initiative, alongside other school districts in the area!
