🎉 Celebrating Success at Zitzman! 🎉
Attendance
Congratulations to Mrs. Schlueter’s and Mrs. Centerino’s classes for the 3rd time earning the letters to spell CHIEFS in our attendance challenge! Both classes earned extra Chromebook time as their reward. We are so proud of their commitment to being here each day—thank you for helping us encourage great attendance, as every day at school makes a difference in learning and success.
Parent Volunteer Support Needed - Zitzman Clubs!
At Zitzman Elementary, our teachers dedicate so much time and energy to teaching and learning every day—and one of the unique “above and beyond” gifts we are able to offer our students is the wide variety of after-school clubs. These clubs wouldn’t be possible without the extra effort from staff and the partnership of parent volunteers. This year, with the goal of keeping balance and “filling our cups” while still giving back, we are seeking parent volunteers for a few of our clubs.
Parent Volunteer Needs
-
Spirit Squad – 2 parent volunteers needed
-
Meets TBD (Day of week), 3:45–4:45 PM (November–March)
-
Students lead cheers, create signs, and spread school spirit at events.
-
-
Read, Right, Run – 3 parent volunteers needed
-
Meets Fridays, 7:40-8:05am (Mid Octover–April)
-
Students read, perform acts of kindness, and run together as they work toward a marathon goal.
-
-
Drama Club (4th Grade) – Possibly 2 parent volunteers needed later this year
-
Tentative start in January
-
Students learn acting basics, teamwork, and perform a short play.

-
Book Club – There will only be one session offered this year, led fully by staff.
-
Yoga & STEAM Clubs – These clubs will continue to run this year, but no additional parent volunteers are needed at this time.
Important Notes
-
All volunteers must have a current MVR3 background check on file.
-
Volunteers must be able to commit to all scheduled days and times.
-
If you are interested, please complete the volunteer interest form. Submitting the form does not guarantee placement—we will contact you directly if you are selected and needed for a role.
Somehow should say - we will notify you If you are selected and needed as a parent volunteer. Otherwise you are to just complete the form if able willing and interested and if needed you will be contacted.

From me to you...
Dear Zitzman Families,
At Zitzman Elementary, learning isn’t just about reading, writing, or math—it’s about growing together as a community. Every day, our classrooms and hallways are filled with students discovering their strengths, supporting one another, and finding their place in our school family.
A sense of belonging matters. When children feel safe, valued, and connected, they’re more confident to try new things, ask questions, and take on challenges. This connection doesn’t just happen—it’s built through the care, encouragement, and collaboration of teachers, staff, and families like you.
Thank you for helping create a school where every student feels seen, heard, and supported. Together, we’re not just teaching academics—we’re shaping a community where every child can thrive.
Leading & learning,
Dr. Sladek
