Students and staff proudly wore orange to celebrate Unity Day, a special occasion dedicated to promoting kindness, acceptance, and inclusion. The vibrant color filled the school with a strong message of support against bullying. Together, our school community stood united to create a safe and welcoming environment for everyone. It was a meaningful day that reminded us all of the power of kindness.
Fire Prevention Assembly
The first grade students had an exciting assembly hosted by the Upper Darby Fire Department in honor of Fire Prevention Week. The firefighters shared important safety tips on how to prevent fires and what to do in case of an emergency. The children learned about the importance of smoke detectors and practiced “stop, drop, and roll.” Everyone enjoyed seeing the fire truck up close and asking questions. It was a memorable event that helped our young students understand fire safety in a fun and engaging way! Thank you Upper Darby Fire Department!
Red Ribbon Week - Celebrated October 27th- October 31st
Red Ribbon Week was a vibrant and meaningful celebration at our school, centered around the theme "Life is a Puzzle, Solve It Drug Free." Throughout the week, students showed their spirit by participating in themed spirit days. On Monday, they wore workout gear to piece together a healthy life, followed by kindness shirts on Tuesday to be the missing piece of kindness. Wednesday’s red and bright colors represented putting the pieces together for a bright future, while Thursday’s mismatched clothing and silly socks symbolized no missing pieces in a drug-free life. On Friday, students dressed as superheroes or fun costumes to unlock the puzzle and unlock their potential. In addition to spirit days, students took part in a "Say No to Drugs" school walkout and attended an assembly that reinforced the message of making positive, drug-free choices. It was an inspiring week that brought our school community together to promote health and safety.
Red Ribbon Week Poster Competition
Students had the opportunity to showcase their creativity by participating in a poster competition during Red Ribbon Week, creating artwork inspired by the theme "Life is a Puzzle, Solve It Drug Free." The thoughtful posters highlighted the importance of making healthy, drug-free choices. Students who submitted posters were recognized and celebrated during the school assembly. It was a wonderful way to engage students in spreading the message of Red Ribbon Week.
Fall Parade
Our Fall Parade was a joyful celebration where students proudly showed off their creative costumes to families and friends. It was a fun-filled event that brought our school community together to enjoy the festive spirit of the season. Everyone loved seeing the colorful and imaginative outfits!

During the day, teachers led lessons and discussions about college and career pathways tied to their own experiences. Students explored different educational routes and the opportunities those paths can offer.

Primos held our annual Thanksgiving food drive where each grade collected a different food item to support local families in need this holiday season. The drive was organized by Ms. King and Mrs. Davenport, and students showed great generosity and school spirit. Reminder about pick up and dismissal
As a reminder, the bus loop out front is NOT for student pickup. The bus loop is designated for bus pickup only and cars may not park in the loop. If you are not here to accept your child at 3:15 you will need to park, walk to the front of the building, and ask a staff member to call for your child.
Parents must send changes in dismissal arrangements in the form of a note or email to the classroom teacher. For safety reasons, the school will request identification from the adult at the time of pick-up. If anyone other than the parent picks up the child, they must be listed on the emergency card and have photo identification.
