Bulldog Blast
October 23rd, 2026
Note From Principal Pautler
Bulldog Families,
Welcome to Homecoming Week! 🎉 We have a fantastic week ahead at EMHS, with plenty of opportunities to celebrate our school, our students, and the traditions that make being a Bulldog so special. Be sure to check out the dress-up day information and evening activities listed below. The weather is looking fantastic, so it should be a great week to celebrate and make some memories!
Homecoming Parade – Wednesday, October 28, at 9:45 a.m.
A quick reminder that our Homecoming Parade is moving to the school day this year! The parade will begin at 9:45 a.m., and visiting guests will have a designated viewing location along Pine Oak. Guests should park in one of the two parking lots east of the football stadium off Pine Oak. We've included a special instructional video below to help everyone navigate the new arrangements. We look forward to sharing this Bulldog tradition with our community!
Evening Assembly and Fireworks – Wednesday, October 28
The Homecoming fun continues Wednesday evening! Our evening assembly will begin at 8:00 p.m., followed by a fireworks show around 9:00 p.m. Bring your Bulldog spirit and join us for a memorable night as we celebrate EMHS!
Fall Ball Guest Forms and Tickets
Fall Ball planning is underway! If your student would like to bring a guest who does not attend EMHS, permission slips will be available beginning Monday, October 26. Remember, students may bring only one outside guest, and specific age requirements and other guidelines apply. Please review the form carefully. All guest permission forms must be submitted by November 6. Fall Ball tickets will go on sale November 2, so mark your calendars! Fall Ball takes place on November 14th.
Dog Walk – Friday, October 30
Let's send our Bulldogs off to state in style! We will host a Dog Walk during advisory on Friday, October 30, to celebrate our boys' and girls' cross-country teams and our Bulldog Band as they head into state competition on Saturday, October 31. These students have worked incredibly hard to reach this point, and we want to show them plenty of love and support. Let's make some noise and remind them that the entire Bulldog family is behind them!
Marching Season Finale – Thursday, October 29
Marching season is nearly in the books, and what a season it has been! All three Edmond high schools will come together at EMHS on Thursday evening, October 29, for a special event as they prepare for the Oklahoma Bandmasters Association (OBA) competition. Come out and experience the AMAZING things happening in Edmond's band programs. The talent, dedication, and hard work of these students are something special, and this is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate them all!
As always, thank you for being part of the Bulldog family. Homecoming week is a reminder of what makes EMHS special: our traditions, our people, and the pride we share in being Bulldogs. Let's make it a great week!
Believe. Belong. Sacrifice. to build a Legacy. Go Dogs!

🎃 EMHS Halloween Costume Guidelines 👻
Thursday, October 29
Bulldogs, Halloween is almost here! We love a little school spirit, creativity, and the occasional student who looks like they escaped from a Netflix series. However, before you arrive dressed as your favorite character, please review the following guidelines. We want costumes to be fun, school-appropriate, and safe for everyone!
1. Masks Must Come Off for Class 😷
You may wear a mask to school, but you must be able to see where you are going and safely navigate the hallways. Masks must be removed during instructional time. Your teachers need to know who you are, and no one should have to teach a class full of anonymous superheroes.
2. Leave the Weapons at Home ⚔️
No weapons of any kind, real or fake. This includes toy guns, fake swords, knives, daggers, axes, and anything else that could reasonably be mistaken for a weapon. Even if your costume is missing its signature sword, you will survive. Probably.
3. Keep It Respectful 🤝
Costumes must not be offensive, discriminatory, or disrespectful toward any race, ethnicity, sex, gender, religion, or other group of people. Cultural stereotypes and costumes designed to mock or demean others are not acceptable. If your costume depends on making someone else the punchline, it's time for a new costume.
4. The Regular Dress Code Still Applies 👕
Halloween is not a magical loophole in the EMHS dress code. All regular dress code expectations remain in effect. If the costume's official title includes the word “sexy,” it's probably not going to make it through the front door. Save that costume for a different occasion!
