💛 Thank you to all of our staff and Denise for handling the day-to-day events while I was at the MEMSPA conference. It was three days of valuable learning and I greatly appreciate all of your extra efforts!

💙 The doors look great and the school feels festive. Thank you for participating as it makes the dreary days of December much brighter!

💛 Lincoln School has outdone itself again with a record-breaking book fair! We sold $9,504.56 this week. This is over $1,000 more than last year and does not include online sales yet. Thank you to Jo-Anne and Sarah for a very successful book fair! We appreciate this hard work and can't wait to see all of the books new books that will be added to the library thanks to this event.

💙 Please be sure to send out the culture and climate survey below to all 2nd - 5th-grade students.

Culture and Climate Committee Survey--Action Needed

The climate and culture committee has finalized this student voice survey to be given to all 2nd - 5th graders. Once completed, results will be shared with all staff. We look forward to learning with our students. The committee is working to finalize our version for our K-1 students. Please take a moment as a grade-level team to discuss the best way to introduce and complete the survey so that our results are as accurate as possible.

Dec. 22nd

Don't forget these special events:

  • Holiday concert at the high school for grades 2 - 5. We typically arrive back at school between 10:45 and 11:00 and will leave at the start of the day. (More details to come next week)
  • An all-school movie is planned with a start time of approximately 2:30. We would love for you to stick to this plan and have students watch the movie at 2:30 so that you can pack up, organize, and feel relaxed and ready to leave at the end of the day. We would also love for parent volunteers to have exited the building before 2:30 so the end of the day does not feel so rushed and crazy.

Learning Opportunity!

A free professional development opportunity is being offered through KRESA. The goal is to help teachers build community and develop a sense of belonging. The training begins at 3:45 on Jan. 10th and 24th, but perhaps one colleague in your grade level could get started while the other teachers on your team get students out the door. If we think creatively, people who would like to attend will be able to. Let me know your thoughts if several of your grade-level colleagues would like to attend.
