ESL November Newsletter

November 2026 ESL Newsletter
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Last month we celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month. Students worked on a project. They interviewed a family member. They also created a recipe book of their favorite dishes/dessert from their country. Finally, They presented their project in class.
Learning Adventures:
This month, levels 3 and 4 students will learn about story elements and write their own story. Level 2 will be working on writing descriptive paragraphs aligned with ELA curriculum. Writing paragraphs/stories helps enhance vocabulary and improve academic writing.
Reading Time:
We go to the library to check out books. We have created a reading nook to continue promoting a love for reading of various topics and genres.
Benefits of reading:
enhances vocabulary and conversation skills
strengthens writing skills
improves critical thinking skills
