We are so excited for the school year to start!

This is just a short newsletter with some general information that will help you navigate the beginning of the school year. Please read below.

YOUR CHILD'S REGISTRATION VERIFICATION IS DUE IMMEDIATELY

BRSD sent an email mid-August with the link to School Engage (the system you complete the forms in). If you have not yet verified your student registration, please do so immediately
You can access School Engage through PowerSchool --> School Engage
EACH CHILD requires a completed form (this is mandated by Alberta Government).
If you do not remember your access to PowerSchool, please send an email to Alida Steele at asteele@brsd.ab.ca

We are getting SO excited for the first day of school and look forward to seeing everyone again.

Please mark your calendar for our MEET THE TEACHER BBQ coming up on Thursday September 4 from 4-7pm. The BBQ is completely FREE.

Our incredible librarian Mrs. Hunter will be at the school if you're wanting to meet her and/or take a tour of our library. Mrs. Andriatz will be in the office to help with any questions or concerns regarding registration, Powerschool, etc. and all teachers will be set up in their respective classrooms awaiting your visit.

We look forward to seeing you.

Please help us keep our classrooms focused. We kindly as that parents and guardians refrain from texting students during school hours. Messages exchanged during class can be a big distraction - not just for your child, but for their classmates as well.

If you need to get in touch with them, please call/email the school office and we will make sure your message gets to your child promptly.

Jr and Sr High timetables can be found in Powerschool. Please log into the Parent Portal or Student Portal for access. A link to the Parent Portal can be found on our school website, along with a link to register for Powerschool as a new user.

Please note the updated bell times which can be accessed on our school website

Our Career Counsellors send out monthly newsletters with information for our high school students which we will always include in our Bashaw School Newsletter. Post-secondary applications open October 1 for most Alberta Institutions.
