Lighthouse Moment

Today, our students had a wonderful opportunity to learn from the Dange family as part of our World Travelers program. Through their presentation, students explored the rich culture of India, learning about important holidays and traditions, popular foods, and even how India’s long rich history compares to that of the United States. It was an engaging and informative experience for all!

Opportunities like this bring our school values to life. As we continue to respect and include and stand with pride, learning directly from members of our community helps students build a deeper understanding and appreciation for the diverse cultures that make up Hubbard Woods.

We are grateful to the Dange family for sharing their time and experiences with us, and we look forward to continuing our journey around the world together through World Travelers next year.

**Last Chance** Class Placement Parent Input Survey Open Until this Wednesday, May 6th

As we begin planning class placements for the 2026–2027 school year, we engage in a thoughtful and collaborative process to create balanced, supportive learning communities for all students. This process considers a range of factors, including each child’s academic and social-emotional profile, as well as insights from current teachers and families.

If you would like to share information about your child’s learning style or any academic or social-emotional considerations that may help inform this process, you are welcome to do so by completing the parent input form by Wednesday, May 6th. Family input will be reviewed in full by Ms. Ajavon.

While we deeply value your perspective, we are not able to honor requests for specific teachers. Relevant information that is not tied to a specific teacher request will be thoughtfully shared with our educators as part of the placement process.

Thank you for your trust and partnership as we work to create positive and meaningful learning experiences for every child at Hubbard Woods.
