Annual Band Fundraiser

It is that time of year- time for our annual band fundraiser! Every year this is an important event for our program as we are allowed only one major fundraiser a year. That being said, this year it is even more important as we did not collect band fees at the start of the year to make band accessible for all.

This year our fundraiser will be 100% online. We do not want students going door to door and did not pass out a brochure as we are pushing everyone to use the website for sales.

On Friday, all the students logged in, created their page with their unique Fundraiser Student ID, and got an overview of how our fundraiser will work. Please review the information below and let Mr. Wood know if you have any questions at woodc@friscoisd.org. Our goal is to have EVERY STUDENT participate- whether through sales or direct donations. Every little bit helps and thank you in advance for your support.

• There are over 500 items available online, including food, kitchen and home, jewelry, holiday gifts, magazines, and NFL/College swag!
• All Items sold online will be DELIVERED to those who purchase them directly. Your student will NOT be delivering items this year.

School ID: 9797 (It will show up as Staley MS B)

Student ID: Personal 7 digit number. This is NOT your FISD ID.

• Be sure to include this with any communication so it is easy for your child to get credit for the sale.

We understand that some families and friends may want to just send a direct donation. Below are the options:

1) Venmo- (our preferred method) use @StaleyBand-BPA to send a direct donation. Be sure to include your child's name in the 'what's it for?' section. We also recommend that you set it to private if you have not done so already.

2) Send check or cash- be sure to send any money in an envelope with your child's name and 'fundraiser donation' on it so we can be sure to give them credit.

3) Donate through the Big Kahuna Site- You can donate through the website, but since it is associated with prizes and shipping for those prizes, they do take a small percentage of the donation. For reference, for every $20 donated one item is counted towards a prize.

Mr. Wood has a glorious beard right now... have you ever wondered what it would look like to have designs, or colors, or maybe even you name shaved in it? Now is your chance.

The class that 1) has the highest sales AVERAGE and 100% participation will get to design and see it shaved to the chosen design.

Mrs. Humphreys needs in on the fun and she has agreed to wear CRAZY makeup if there is a class that has 100% participation!

Did you know you can link your Amazon Smile account to an organization and they will receive a donation on your behalf?!?

• For every purchase you make on Amazon, our Staley Middle School Band Parent Association can receive 0.5% of your total! (Woo!)
• This does not cost extra to you but is an additional way for Staley Band BPA to earn money during this time. Due to us not taking band fees right now we need any kind of help since we are still providing to help to families.
