We hope all our Seahawk families have a happy, fun, and safe Halloween! We had a fantastic week at SJH celebrating Spirit Week, and we want to give a big shout-out to our LIA group for putting together such a fun lineup of activities. From crazy hats and dressing in our favorite decades to dressing to impress, celebrating our cultures and ancestry, and finishing the week with Black Out Friday, it was wonderful to see so much school spirit and participation!

We also had a great turnout for our Halloween Dance on Wednesday! A huge thank-you to our SBOs, their advisor, Mrs. Dewey, and everyone who helped organize, supervise, and chaperone the event. Your time and support help make these memorable experiences possible for our students!

As we look ahead to the holidays and the final stretch of the first semester, we want to remind families that regular attendance and being on time each day are essential to student success. Every class provides valuable learning opportunities, and arriving on time helps students start their day prepared and ready to learn. We appreciate your partnership in making attendance a priority and helping our Seahawks finish the semester strong!

9th graders are invited to attend a field trip with the school counselors to Davis Technical College on November 19, 2026. We will be departing SJH at 9:00 a.m. and returning about 11:15 a.m. Students must have parent/guardian permission to attend the field trip. You can pick up a permission slip in the counseling center. Please sign the form and return to the counseling center.

We have 95 spots for this field trip which will be filled first-come-first-serve. 9th grade students will have opportunities to attend field trips to Weber State and Davis Catalyst Center later this year. Students may only attend one field trip, unless we have open seats.
