Thousands of Texas students begin their career in film and broadcast in the hallowed halls of Texas high schools. Prosper ISD is no stranger to that involvement and success. With hundreds of students over the years finding their stepping stone into the industry in our classrooms, Prosper ISD students continue to find success both through learning and competition.

This year, Prosper ISD has a record 5 films that have advanced to the UIL State Film Festival. This amazing accomplishment comes after multiple rounds of competition in which student submissions are eliminated to get down to the top 6 in the STATE in each conference for each film division.

This year, both Prosper High School (the 2 time reigning State Champion in Traditional Animation) and Walnut Grove High School, travel to the UIL State Competition Film Festival on February 27 to see where they place in each category (at the least, they will medal in the top 6 at state).

On February 22, Prosper ISD hosted the 5 Prosper Middle Schools for the annual UIL practice Meet in anticipation for the upcoming UIL District Meet on April 5, 2025. Congratulations to everyone who competed and our winners in each event, in each grade level.
