Picture of the week: our new school desks and chairs (as well as a few other items not visible in this picture) were recently delivered to the school. We are so excited to have modern, sturdy, and beautiful classroom furniture installed in all of our classrooms. There are a few items still to be delivered including homeroom rugs and cafeteria tables, but we hope that you agree that this is a tremendous upgrade for our school. I can't wait to see how our classrooms look when they are fully set up, and decorated! This upgrade was made possible by a very generous donor who wanted to improve the daily student experience. We are so grateful to our donor and to everyone who helps make SPS an amazing place to learn and grow!

Very Important: Health Forms Very Important: Health Forms

All families: please remember that you must forward your child's health information to the nurse's office before the start of school. I have been monitoring the nurse@saint-peter-school.org email and have seen them begin to roll in, but please ensure that you send this information to our school nurses ASAP. Until we receive this form, including up-to-date vaccination records, our nurses are not able to treat your child in the event of an illness.

Our school Nurses will be in touch with you in the first week of school if we have not received the form.

One request: if you have previously (before June 31st) sent this form to the school by email, please re-send it. Our mail forwarding was not working properly at the time, so it's possible that your email was lost. This has since been fixed, but please consider re-sending.

One week to go! We're excited to see you in September! One week to go! We're excited to see you in September!

A few quick things to look out for in your inbox:

  • Fall Clubs: Our Fall Clubs will be announced very soon (likely today or Monday). I've seen the flyer that Ms. Rose has prepared, and I'm very excited for you all to see the club offerings!
  • Teacher Welcome Week: Faculty will be on campus next week for Faculty Welcome Week. We look forward to seeing students on Tuesday September 8th!
  • Important Documents: The Family Handbook, CORI/VIRTUS information, the Parent Directory, and other items are available on the Parent Portal (accessible via the website or by the button at the bottom of this newsletter). We'll highlight when updates are made to the list!
  • 125th Mass and Celebration: We'll talk more about this at Back to School Night, but please strongly consider attending our 125th Anniversary Celebration on September 27th, 2026 at the 11am mass. Click the button below to RSVP. The event includes a free lunch! Come celebrate SPS with us!

As you know, at the start of this year Saint Peter School will have been in continual operation since its founding in 1901. We are celebrating 125 years this year! This year we will celebrate St. Peter School in many ways, including a celebratory Mass on the 27th of September (please register with the link below), a 5K fun-run, a special version of the SPS Gala, and much more!

Our very first celebratory event will happen in about 5 weeks. We have worked with the Red Sox Foundation to get a section of tickets for SPS students and Families at a great rate. The cost is $33 per person, and after the game, the kids get to run the bases on the field!

Join us in celebrating the school and the Red Sox (by the way, the team started playing in 1901 as the Boston Americans, so they're turning 125 this year as well!). Scan the code to learn more, or click the button below.
