Closing the Year With Purpose and Possibility Closing the Year With Purpose and Possibility

As we step into December, I can’t help but reflect on the growth, resilience, and transformation this year brought to so many of you. Some of you stepped boldly into business ownership, others gained clarity on what you no longer want, and many of you chose to stop settling for a path that no longer fits. That takes courage. And with four full weeks still left in the year, there is plenty of time to take meaningful steps that set you up for a stronger, more intentional 2026. If something inside you is whispering that you’re made for more, now is the time to listen. I’m here if you want support, clarity, or guidance as you explore your next steps.

Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a season filled with peace, joy, and blessings for all who are celebrating in their own way.

WEBINAR ALERT: From Paycheck to Possibility - Your 2026 Career Ownership Plan WEBINAR ALERT: From Paycheck to Possibility - Your 2026 Career Ownership Plan

This month, I’m hosting, not one, but TWO live webinars to help you step into the new year with clarity and confidence. Join me on Thursday, December 4th or Thursday, December 11th at 12pm CST for From Paycheck to Possibility — Your 2026 Career Ownership Plan. In this interactive session, you’ll explore new pathways to freedom and flexibility and learn how business ownership can become a meaningful tool for shaping your future.

You’ll reflect on what 2025 taught you, redefine what success could look like in 2026, and see how Career Ownership Coaching provides structure, accountability, and support as you explore your next steps. This is a powerful session if you’re questioning traditional employment, craving more control, or simply curious about what entrepreneurship could offer.

This webinar is about results and forward motion, not resolutions. Use these links to register for the December 4th or December 11th sessions, follow me on Eventbrite for future sessions, and share this opportunity with friends, family, or colleagues who could benefit from exploring an educational coaching journey of their own. And don’t forget, my client referral program rewards those who help support and grow my business by introducing others who could benefit from the same guidance and insight.

SBA Loan Update: What the Government Reopening Means for Your Funding Plan SBA Loan Update: What the Government Reopening Means for Your Funding Plan

With the government now reopened, SBA operations are back in motion and lenders are moving quickly again. After several weeks of paused approvals and delayed funding, the SBA is working through the backlog and lenders have begun resubmitting applications that were on hold.

Many preferred SBA lenders continued preparing files during the shutdown. Applicants who stayed engaged are now in line for faster review. If you have not started your funding process yet, this is still a strong time to begin so your application is ready as timelines stabilize.

There may be some fluctuation in processing times over the next few weeks, but activity is moving forward and qualified borrowers are progressing. Staying prepared with your documents and funding strategy will help you take action smoothly as the SBA returns to normal operations.

If you have questions, want an introduction to a trusted SBA partner, or need help understanding which funding path aligns best with your 2026 goals, I’m here to support you every step of the way.

2025 Recap: From Obstacles to Career Ownership 2025 Recap: From Obstacles to Career Ownership

All year long, we explored the most common objections that stop people from pursuing business ownership. And through every conversation, every article, and every coaching session, one truth kept showing up: obstacles do not disappear. You move through them. You get stronger because of them. And possibility opens the moment you stop letting them sit in the driver’s seat.

Think back over the themes we addressed this year:

  • You faced the temptation of a job offer and wondered if returning to traditional employment was the safer choice.
  • You wrestled with the comfort of a steady paycheck and the belief that stability only comes from a W-2.
  • You feared you could not afford business ownership and did not know that funding options exist beyond paying in cash.
  • You worried about not having a business idea and overlooked paths like acquisitions and franchising.
  • You considered consulting as an easy bridge and discovered it often keeps you trading time for dollars with no long-term value.
  • You waited for the perfect time, even though perfection never comes and life never slows down the way we imagine it will.
  • You doubted your ability to run a business and forgot that many ownership models are built for process-driven leaders, not entrepreneurs.
  • You feared failure, even though failure is feedback and a pathway to growth.
  • You worried about the risk of ownership while overlooking the risks of staying where you are.
  • You questioned whether now is the right time, especially in an unpredictable economy, not realizing that uncertainty can create the biggest opportunities.

Every objection had something in common. None of them meant you were not capable. None of them meant the door was closed. None of them meant business ownership was out of reach. They simply meant you were human.

The truth is, these obstacles will always exist. There will always be another job offer, another bill, another busy season with kids, another economic headline, another doubt whispering not now. The people who move forward are not the ones who wait for everything to be perfect. They are the ones who decide to stop letting obstacles decide for them.

Progress to possibility is a choice.

  • A choice to explore your options before dismissing them.
  • A choice to get informed instead of assuming you are not ready.
  • A choice to build something for your future instead of repeating another year of the same.

If this year stirred something in you, pay attention to it. You have learned the objections. You have seen through the myths. You have recognized the patterns that keep people stuck. And you have grown more than you may realize.

Now it is time to ask yourself the most important question of all:

Are you ready to step into something bigger for 2026?

If your answer is yes or even maybe, I am here to walk with you, help you navigate the obstacles, and support you as you move from hesitation to ownership.

Your future can look different.
Your career can feel different.
Your life can become something you own, not something you tolerate.

Let’s take that step together!
