Stinson FamilySummer Updates2022-2023

From Your Principals

Greetings, Stinson Families!

We want to take a moment to check in - we hope that everyone is enjoying their summer, and (hopefully) you've been able to stay cool. I know that Mrs. Daly and I have spent time entertaining our kids in the pool, or a nicely air conditioned room!

Your teachers are taking time to recharge and are looking forward to meeting their new students on August 9. They return on August 3 for a week of learning, planning, and staff community building.

We encourage you to sign up for e-news and follow us on social media. School Messenger offers a great new feature where we can send you texts - please opt in to this if you are interested, as we will use this throughout the year.

Mrs. Daly and I are eager to get to know each of you and your child(ren). As you come to know us, you'll see that not only do we value academics, but the social/emotional well-being of your child. We put a strong emphasis on relationships, family, and compassion. We believe that when you take care of the whole-child, they will reach their full potential.

If you ever need anything, please reach out.

Take care.

We are excited for the opportunity to welcome volunteers/visitors back on campus! If you are interested in serving as a volunteer, field trip chaperone, etc. a background check must be completed.

All volunteers will need to create an account and complete an application, online orientation and background check through the Plano ISD volunteer management system, VOLY, to be eligible for district/school volunteer opportunities. Please visit plano.voly.org to create a volunteer account and begin this process. These items will need to be completed by volunteers each school year. This process can take several days, so please take care of this now!

Once the form closes, a drawing will take place to determine who will be members for the 22-23 school year.

In addition to parent members, we are also in need of business representatives to serve on SBIC. If you know of a local business that would be interested in forming a partnership with our campus in this capacity, please complete the SBIC Business Representative Recommendation form below. **Please note that parents of current students are not allowed to serve as business representatives.**
