COLT CONNECTION

Every Colt Has a Champion
As parents, one of the most important things you want to know is that your child is seen, known, and cared for when they're at school. At DVMS, we're working to make sure every student has an adult in their corner.
That's the heart of our Teacher Champion initiative. Every student has a Teacher Champion, their third hour teacher, who takes a special interest in their success. Champions monitor grades and attendance and help students understand what it means to be COLT Strong by encouraging Character, Organization, Leadership, and Tenacity. Most importantly, they provide another trusted adult students can turn to when they need encouragement, support, or a little extra help along the way.
Of course, our Teacher Champions aren't alone. Our teachers, counselors, administrators, and support staff all play a role in helping our students succeed. We want every Colt to know that they have people here who believe in them, care about them, and will be there to help them keep moving forward. Every Colt has a Champion. Every Colt matters.

Attendance
Every Day Counts!
📚 Attendance Matters at Deer Valley Middle School
At Deer Valley Middle School, every school day matters! Regular attendance gives students the opportunity to learn, grow, build relationships, and stay on track academically. Missing just two days a month can add up to nearly a month of missed learning during the school year. Consistent attendance also helps students build strong academic skills, positive relationships, and lifelong habits for success.
📞 Attendance Reminder: Families, please call the school by 9:00 a.m. on the day of an absence. Timely notification helps us maintain accurate records and ensures we know the safety and whereabouts of our students.
Attendance Line: 623-445-3390
Arrival After 8:15 AM Reminder:
Parents must walk students into the front office to sign them in.
Students arriving late without a parent check-in will receive an unexcused tardy and lunch detention.
Thank you for partnering with us to make attendance a priority and every school day count!
Back-to School Forms
Back-to-School Forms Reminder

Completing these forms helps ensure we have the most current information for your student and allows us to start the school year smoothly.
If you have not completed your forms, it's due by 9/19/26. Thank you for your prompt attention and continued support!
