Principal's Message
Happy New Year! This has been an unexpected short week. ❄️I hope everyone has made some snow memories these last two days. We will make these two days up on our Bad Weather Days in April. ☹️Those days are April 14th and April 28th, so be sure to edit your calendars.
Monday, we will be reviewing expectations one more time, since this week probably didn’t allow for much to sink in. Please find those ID badges, charge laptops and set alarms.
Tuesday night, we will host our incoming 6th grade parents to present a look into 6th grade. If you have friends or family with an incoming 6th grader to DMS, please share this information with them. The presentation will start at 6:00 pm in our cafeteria.
Grades went live in HAC last night. Remember, all students start off quarter 3 with a 100. What they do with that is up to them. Reach out to your child’s teacher if you have questions or concerns. Q3 is always filled with some of our more challenging standards, so expect some potentially frustrating moments.
Enjoy your weekend! Stay warm!
Much love,
Melanie Machost
