Happy Sunday CUB Families,

What a fantastic week we had! We hosted the Rhodestown Fire Department on Monday for Fire Prevention Week. On Tuesday, the eighth grade members of the Trexler Middle School football team greeted our CUBS when they arrived to school (see a few pictures below. We had a Kindergarten field trip on Wednesday and a First Grade field trip on Friday. We also had our first Student of the Month Ceremony of the year on Friday morning (see picture below), and then Friday Night was our Fifth Annual CVE PTO Fall Festival!! WOW! So many great things going on!

Thank you to our PTO, volunteers (including parents, local marines, and members of Richlands High School Beta Club), CVE staff, vendors, Rhodestown Fire Department, Food Trucks and Trunk or Treat volunteers! This was by far our best Fall Festival yet! It was a wonderful night!

There is a lot happening at CVE this week too! It is Red Ribbon Week! Please see the graphic below for the themes of each day. We are having our Costume Parade on Friday as the last day of Red Ribbon Week. Please remember that students may not wear masks and may not carry anything resembling or meant to represent a weapon. The First Grading Period comes to an end on Tuesday, and our First Grade students take another field trip on Thursday.

A reminder to all of our carpool families. Onslow County School policies prevent any cars lining up or parking on campus to line up any earlier than 30 minutes before the start of the carpool process. That means that the line may not begin until 7:40 am in the morning and 2:50 pm in the afternoon.

Afternoon checkout ends at 3:00 pm daily so that staff can make sure that all students are sent to the appropriate location at dismissal. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Student safety is our primary concern.

I am POSITIVE it is going to be another great week at Clear View Elementary!
