ALL IN ON ATTENDANCE – Short Month, Big Impact
February may be the shortest month, but it’s packed with learning. Missing just a few days can have a big impact on progress. Missing 2 days in February means losing 10% of instructional time for the month. The late bell rings at 7:40 AM. Students should be in their classroom ready to learn at that time. Please notify the school attendance email address (cogburnattendance@fultonschools.org) and copy your child’s teacher when they are absent.
If you have any questions, please reach out to Randi Downey, LCSW, school social worker at downeyr@fultonschools.org or call 470-317-8530.

Counselor's Corner
The topic for next week's Student Success Skills program is "Self-Efficacy".Self-efficacy is the belief in oneself. A student's self-efficacy greatly influences their academic motivation, learning, and achievement. In these lessons, students learn the importance of their beliefs on their ability to reach goals. They are taught strategies for building their beliefs as well as strategies for letting go of their limiting beliefs.
In the attachment that we've provided below, you'll find the discussion points that teachers will go over with our students. We encourage you to take this opportunity to reinforce these lessons at home as well.
