Message from Mrs. Jones
Hello, Fallbrook Families,
As we observe Attendance Awareness Month, I want to take a moment to celebrate our school community and share some important insights about how attendance directly impacts student achievement.
Research consistently shows that students who attend school regularly are more likely to succeed academically, build stronger peer relationships, and develop the consistent habits that serve them well beyond high school. At the high school level, when students miss just two days per month, they can fall behind in critical coursework and miss approximately 18 days of instruction over the school year.
We've noticed that even small interruptions to the school day can add up significantly. Frequent tardiness and early dismissals for appointments, while sometimes necessary, can result in students missing key instruction time, including lesson introductions, important announcements, or collaborative work that's difficult to make up independently.
We understand that life happens, and medical appointments or family needs sometimes require schedule adjustments. When possible, we encourage scheduling these during non-school hours or planning them strategically to minimize classroom disruption. Every minute of instructional time is valuable, and protecting these hours helps ensure your student doesn't miss the collaborative discussions, direct instruction, and peer interactions that make learning meaningful.
Thank you for partnering with us to prioritize your student's educational experience. Together, we can help every student reach their full potential.
As always, if there is anything you need, please feel free to reach out by telephone at (760) 723-6300 x3102, x3110, or x3103, or by email through our website. As a reminder, our office hours are 7:30am-4pm; outside of these times families are welcome to leave a message for a return call on the next school day.
Let's make this a great week, Warriors!

School Site Council Member Nomination Form
If you are interested in serving on the Fallbrook High School School Site Council, please complete the form below to self-nominate. If you would like to nominate someone else, please submit their name.
What is a School Site Council? School Site Councils oversee the Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) and the budgets required and articulated within the plan. The SPSA is a plan that establishes the goals for a school’s student achievement, describes the programs, and identifies the categorical funds used by the school to achieve these goals. School Site Council’s support increases student achievement by focusing their work on the development, monitoring, and evaluation of the SPSA and corresponding budgets.
What is the time commitment for a School Site Council Rep? You'll need to be able to attend a meeting once a month on a Wednesday at 3pm. Our first meeting will be Wednesday, October 15th from 3pm-4pm.
