The MRE Update is our school’s official newsletter, designed to keep families informed and connected. It is sent out via email approximately every two weeks and includes important dates, reminders, and school news.
We understand how busy life can get, but we kindly ask that you take a few minutes to review each edition when it’s released—your attention helps ensure you don’t miss important updates.

School Transportation
Buses
Dee Bus Inc. is our official school transportation provider.
All students are automatically assigned to ride the bus to and from their registered home address only.
Bus routes will be shared with the school by Dee Bus Inc. in late August. Once we receive them, we will email the route information directly to all families. For safety reasons, bus routes will not be posted on our website or shared online.
If you have any questions or concerns about your child’s bus stop, please contact Dee Bus Inc. directly by emailing nkelly@deebus.com.
***Bus Updates Available on the Live Feed***
To help keep families informed, we will use the Live Feed on the MRE website to share real-time updates about bus delays or issues as they arise.
Whether it’s traffic, construction, or a road closure causing a delay, we’ll post any known updates to the Live Feed as soon as we’re made aware. We encourage families to check the Live Feed regularly—especially during dismissal time—for the most up-to-date information.
Parent Pick-up & Drop-Off
A summary of the most important information related to these procedures is listed below.
Student Arrival (Drop Off)
- Drop-off time: 8:25–8:35 AM (morning announcements start at 8:35 sharp!)
-
Location: Front of the building via back access road
-
Procedure: Pull forward along the sidewalk to fit up to 8 cars. Students exit independently. Parents stay in cars.
-
Need to help your child? Park on the basketball court or in a front parking space and walk them to the entrance.
-
Exit: Turn left at the peninsula, wait for cars ahead to move. (Do not drive around them!)
-
Preschool traffic: 9:35–9:45 AM traffic flow changes—drive cautiously.
-
Safety reminder: Watch for middle school classes using outdoor areas behind the building.
Student Dismissal (Pick up)
Arrival: Please arrive no earlier than 2:50 PM to join the pick-up line.
-
Location: Pick-up is behind MRE — use the back access road.
-
Safety:
-
LBMS may have afternoon activities and MRE students may be outside.
-
Drive slowly and wait for staff to move the cones before proceeding.
-
-
Process:
-
An MRE staff member will approach your car and ask who you are picking up. (It is helpful to have a sign in the car window with the name as well.)
-
Students will exit once their name is called.
-
-
Office Pick-Up: The last office pick-up is at 2:45 PM. After that, all pick-ups must be through the pick-up line.
-
Parent Reminder: Please remain in your vehicle during pick-up.
- Parents should remain in car at pick-up.
The picture below shows the route around the building to drive. The blue line indicates where morning drop off will occur. The afternoon pick up will be at the end of the red line on the side of the building.
School Lunch & Breakfast
Menus & Nutritional Information
Menus
All school menus are available at www.fdmealplanner.com.
Enter “Nashoba” in the location search bar to view the menus associated with each of our schools. You may choose to set-up a profile for your student, but it is not necessary to view the menus, ingredients, nutritional information, and allergen alerts.
Refillable Water Bottle
We recommend that students bring a refillable water bottle to school each day. We have refill stations students can use. Please, no glass bottles.
School Supplies, Backpacks & Snacks
We’re happy to share that the school provides the vast majority of school supplies for all students. Occasionally, a teacher may request a few small items, but these are not required for purchase. Some teachers may also share a classroom wish list with optional items such as tissues, Ziploc-style bags, plastic spoons or other helpful supplies. Again, these items are completely optional.
In addition, all students should plan to bring a standard-sized backpack each day. We also ask that students bring one snack item daily, so families may wish to provide a lunch box or small snack pouch to help keep snacks organized.
If a teacher has any specific requests, they will communicate directly with you by letter or email. Thank you for your support!
