Meet the Elementary Building Leaders

Mrs. Miner- Elementary Principal

As the Elementary Principal for the School District of Westfield, I bring 20 years of experience in education, including roles as a teacher, instructional coach, assistant principal, and coordinator for gifted and talented programs, as well as summer school and after-school initiatives. Each of these roles has shaped my belief that strong teaching and learning come from high expectations, purposeful support, and meaningful relationships. I believe in setting high standards for both students and staff, knowing that everyone has the potential to succeed when given the right tools and encouragement. I am committed to creating an inclusive environment where every student feels valued and has access to the resources they need to thrive. I envision our schools as places where all children feel empowered to grow, learn, and succeed. I look forward to my third year working with the students, parents, staff, and greater community of the district. Together, we will continue to celebrate all the wonderful things that make the School District of Westfield a great place to live and learn.

Mrs. Meinhardt - Elementary Principal

With 24 years of experience in education, I am passionate about student growth, instructional excellence, and inclusive learning environments. I have taught at both the elementary and middle school levels and have served in a variety of leadership roles, including being a mentor teacher, instructional coach, summer school coordinator, team leader, and member of curriculum pilot committees.

I am grounded in the belief that all students can learn at high levels and am committed to fostering a welcoming, safe, and supportive school communities where every student feels valued and empowered. I embrace a collaborative leadership style that centers on working closely with teachers, families, and all stakeholders to ensure that the School District of Westfield continues to be a place where excellence and community thrive.

Elementary Update...

Coloma Elementary 2026-2027 School Year

School Hours are 7:55AM - 3:10PM. Buses will load at 3:10PM and dismiss by 3:15PM. Parent Pickup will begin once buses have left.
Free Breakfast will be served from 7:30-7:55
Students can arrive starting 7:30AM. 7:30-7:45 students will eat breakfast or wait for rooms to open at 7:45am. There will be no morning recess before school. Teachers will provide a recess break built into the school day.
REMINDER: the 2nd Wednesday of each month there is an early release at 1:10PM- After School Care will be available

Oxford Elementary 2026-2027 School Year

School Hours are 7:55AM - 3:10PM. Buses will load at 3:10PM and dismiss by 3:15PM. Parent Pickup will begin once buses have left.
Free Breakfast will be served from 7:30-7:55
Students will report to their classrooms at 7:45; school start time is 7:55AM. There will be no morning recess before school. Teachers will provide a recess break built into the school day.
REMINDER: the 2nd Wednesday of each month there is an early release at 1:10PM- After School Care will be available

Westfield Elementary 2026-2027 School Year

Drop off/Pickup will look different. Please look for more communication closer to the school year.
School Hours are 8:05AM - 3:20PM. Buses will load at 3:20PM and dismiss by 3:25PM. Parent Pickup will begin in the gym once buses have left.
Free Breakfast will be served from 7:40-8:05
Students can arrive starting 7:40AM. 7:40-7:55 students will eat breakfast or wait for rooms to open at 7:55. There will be NO morning recess before school. Teachers will provide a recess break built into the school day.
REMINDER: the 2nd Wednesday of each month there is an early release at 1:20PM- After School Care will be available

Student Registration

Online registration opens August 1 for all new and returning students. If you will need assistance with registration August 11, 2026 we will have in-person registration. Location is at Coloma Elementary do to construction.

Returning families are required to complete online registration each year to:

Update contact information
Report any medical changes
Review and acknowledge any updated district policies
Confirm transportation needs

New families are welcome to register their students beginning August 1.

Keeping your student's information current is essential so we can communicate with your family and provide the best possible support throughout the school year.

If your child will need bus transportation, please be sure to provide all pickup and drop-off addresses during registration. Accurate transportation information is necessary to ensure bus routes are planned correctly.

Open House Night

All elementary schools will be having an Open House Night on Thursday, August 27, 2026 from 4PM-6PM. Come meet your teacher, see your classroom, check on busing information and get any additional information from the school.

Register New Students, Especially 4K- Open NOW!

August 1: Online Registration Opens for returning students: All families must register their child each year and update information through Skyward Family Access
August 11: District Registration 11:00 am-7:00 pm at Location to be determined, if you need assistance with completing registration
August 14: Transportation Requests Due
August 27: Elementary Open House 4:00 pm-6:00 pm
September 1: First Day of School for 5K-12th grade
September 8: First Day of School for 4K
September 9: 2 hour Early Release-After School Care Available
September 23: Oxford/Coloma Elementary Picture Day
September 24: Westfield Elementary Picture Day

School Shirts for Students...

Each student will be receiving this shirt for the school year, purchased by the school. We will open an online store August 24 - September 4, If you would like to order additional items. This is not necessary since all students will receive a shirt at no cost. We will be collecting shirt sizes at Open House and the first week of school.
