Hello Spring! 🌼🌸🍀
Dear Rayburn Parents and Guardians,
It is hard to believe how quickly the 2025–2026 school year is moving. We have had a strong and productive year thus far, and our Rockets continue to demonstrate dedication, perseverance, and pride in their learning.
This month, we are celebrating Music in Our Schools Month. I would like to recognize and thank our outstanding music teacher, Ms. Arguelles, for the exceptional work she does to enrich our campus and district. Through her efforts, our students are developing both skill and a genuine appreciation for music.
We will also be celebrating Texas Public Schools Week. We invite all parents and guardians to attend our Open House so your child can proudly share the progress and accomplishments they have made this year.
Our mid-year literacy assessments have been completed, and we are pleased to report continued academic growth across grade levels. Teachers and interventionists are implementing targeted small-group instruction throughout the week to address specific student needs and accelerate progress. Additionally, grades 3–5 have completed their benchmark assessments. Data from these assessments has been analyzed, and action plans are in place to ensure students are well prepared for the upcoming STAAR assessment, which measures mastery of grade-level TEKS.
If your child has been assigned to after-school tutoring, please ensure consistent attendance, as this additional support is critical to their academic success. Daily attendance is equally important. Being present each day allows students to fully benefit from instruction, interventions, and enrichment opportunities. We also encourage you to schedule a conference with your child’s teacher to review academic progress and discuss next steps.
