News from the Principal
I hope that everyone is enjoying their summer and continuing to read, read, read! At the beginning of the summer I challenged you to finish 2-3 books a week and take your imagination on a journey. Don't forget that it's important to keep your mind and body active this summer. We look forward to hearing about some of your favorite books when you return at the end of August.
Over the month of July, our custodial staff has been working hard cleaning and waxing floors to make Albert Schweitzer ready for the opening of the school year. We thank them for all their efforts in making our school a welcoming place for learning. In the office, we've been planning for an outstanding start to the 2019-2020 school year!
This year there are a few changes to our staff. New to our building, we welcome Mrs. Meghan Cahill in first grade. Mrs. Jamie Roller has moved to second grade and Mr. Michael Ponza has moved to third grade.
Classroom assignments will be posted on the Home Access Center beginning August 23rd at 4:00 pm. In the meantime, grade level supply lists are available on our school website so that you can be prepared for the start of school.
We look forward to seeing you soon!

New Student Registration
If you are planning to register your child for the 2019-20 school year for kindergarten through 4th grade, please follow the link for Central Registration found on the NSD website. Please register your child as soon as possible so that we can plan for incoming students appropriately.
School Entrance Procedures
Upon entering the building, all visitors must register at the Kiosk with their valid driver's license in the entrance of the school for any business that you may have in our building, e.g., signing in late students, dropping off items, parent meetings, etc. After registering at the Kiosk, please proceed directly to the front office to sign in and obtain a visitor’s pass. This pass must be worn in a prominent place at all times while in the building. At the end of the visit, please return to the office, sign out and return the pass.
We value the health, safety, and welfare of our students, therefore at no time should parents or visitors enter the school building and go directly to their child's classroom or any other area of the building. In an effort to protect our students, all staff members will be required to ask anyone they see in the building for the visitor's badge. Staff members will respectfully direct any person without a badge to the front office.
Free & Reduced Lunch
The Neshaminy School District offers a free and reduced meal program for students. Please apply and take advantage of this for your children to help support your family. A healthy breakfast and lunch offer important nutrition for your child and helps provide energy and focus so they can be prepared to learn throughout the school day.
Neshaminy School District is pleased to offer a discounted accident insurance plan for our students. The coverage is excellent and the cost is only $27 for school-time or $98 for 24-hour full-year protection. This is the same cost as 2018-2019 plan. The company is AXIS Insurance Company, and its agent is Alive Risk of Langhorne, 215-946-8888. Many parents do not appreciate the importance of such insurance until accidents occur and medical bills are presented for payment. Please note that the district DOES NOT carry medical insurance on students.
