Academy Announcements

Dear Academy Families and Friends,

I hope this finds you well. For all the families new to Academy...Welcome! For those returning families, welcome back! While it's sad to say goodbye to summer, in a few short weeks the 2024-25 school year will begin. We cannot wait to get back to what we love the most...teaching, learning and seeing our students grow! I know I speak for our staff that we are eager to get the new school year underway!

Here are a few things to think/know about for the upcoming start of school:

Class assignments: The Aspen family portal will be opening on August 23 for families to take a peek at their 2024-2025 teacher and classroom assignments. Click here for directions on how to set up/access the family portal.
Once you know your child's class assignment, please be fill out the student dismissal form for your child. If you have more than one kiddo, please complete an additional form. Click here for more information regarding dismissal procedures.

Speaking of new faces and spaces, I want to welcome Holly MacKay, our new Assistant Principal, Mrs. Arthur (Grade 2), Mrs. Collins (back to Grade 5), Shannon Rosemond (Kindergarten) Jackie Alarcon and Amy Baldino (our building substitutes).
Please review the Campus arrival and dismissal plan below. Please note that cars should not use (or park on) the roundabout circle during arrival and dismissal times, buses only thank you!
The school day starts at First Bell (8:50AM) and the late bell rings at 9:10AM. Please make every effort to have your child present and on time every day! The end of the day bell rings at 3:15 PM.
Kindergarten families will be receiving an email soon with an assigned time for Kindergarten Orientation, which will occur on Friday, September 6th. The first day of school for Kindergarten students will be Monday, September 9th and is a full day of school.
Suggested summer supply lists were posted at the start of the summer.
We will once again offer the free universal meal program. Additionally, it remains important for families to complete the free and reduced meals form in order to expand opportunities. Breakfast is available each morning from 8:50 - 9:05AM.

Our AAPC is an amazing team! We are always grateful for the support, events and activities throughout the year and by working together, we can achieve even more!
