Cornwall School News 3.3.26
Message from the Principal
Dear Cornwall School families,
As I shoveled my front step for at least the third time in a week, I considered that while it still looks and feels like winter, March marks a distinct change. Although we had fresh snow more than once, and yes, we're still sledding, the sunlight is brighter and warmer. This week, the scheduling of spring and even end-of-year events seemed to kick into high gear. As we continue to populate the calendar, I’ll include information in the newsletter about upcoming events. If there is a particular event that you’re wondering about, don’t hesitate to reach out. Those very questions help me to solidify a date or a time, and the sooner I can let families know, the easier it is to plan for.
Meanwhile, I will start wearing sunscreen, bringing my sunglasses to recess, and remember to pause and take a few photos to capture the joy!
In partnership,
Nadya

Upcoming Events
Healthy relationships and the prevention of sexual abuse
Sexual abuse prevention programming is required by a Act 1 in the State of Vermont. This year our school counselor, Jackson Goscha, will work with Marissa Hennings from Atria Collective to provide programming to prevent sexual abuse. Atria Collective has a long-standing relationship with ACSD in support of this work.
This prevention program provides a comprehensive approach that:
Teaches children developmentally-appropriate skills that can protect them from sexual abuse and/or support them to go to adults if they have experienced sexual abuse;
Offers parents, educators, and caregivers information and tools that support the healthy sexual development of children and protects them from sexual abuse.
We will host a virtual informational meeting for families on Tuesday, March 17, at 6 pm. Meanwhile, do not hesitate to reach out to Nadya or Jackson with questions, concerns, or for more information.
