Lower Parking Lot Safety
Parents & Caregivers,
If you are picking up your child in the car pick up lane you must drive to the pick up area that is past the 2nd crosswalk (Note the pink star on the map). Students should not be encouraged to wait at the east end of the lot as there is not supervision and it is not safe. All students for car pick up need to be at the far west end of the lot on the other side of the crosswalk. Thank You!

Get ready Findley Families!
The Scholastic Book Fair is coming April 9th - 15th (school days only). This is a great opportunity for students to find new books that they will dive into again and again and develop a lifelong love for reading. Every purchase benefits our school directly.
The Book Fair will be open on school days only during lunch recess (student shoppers only) and after school for families and caregivers to shop with students.
Save the date for Family Shopping Night on April 10th from 6-8pm!
The easiest way to let your child shop the Book Fair independently is by creating an eWallet – a digital payment account that makes shopping for purchases simple, secure, and cash-free. It’s easy to set up and you can share it with family and friends so anyone can contribute funds.
For full details, and to create an eWallet, visit our school’s BOOK FAIR HOMEPAGE.
We’re excited to see everyone at the Book Fair
PTO Needs Your Input
Hi families,
The Findley PTO Board is gathering feedback from families and staff to help guide how we invest PTO funds over the next 1–3 years. We currently have unspent funds and several potential initiatives under consideration (including field improvements, a digital marquee, and landscaping updates), and we’d like your input on what feels most valuable and urgent for our students and school community.
Please take a few minutes to complete the survey here.
The survey will close on Friday April 10th.
Thank you for sharing your perspective—your feedback will help the PTO Board make thoughtful, transparent decisions.
Warmly,
Your PTO Board
McKinney/Vento Hygiene Drive
To Our Fabulous Findley Community,
The Dragon Rider Team and Findley Staff would like to extend our sincere thanks to you for supporting our McKinney/Vento Hygiene Drive. Our efforts are truly making a difference by supporting some of the most vulnerable members of our BSD community.
As a school we raised $795 in gift cards, $50 in quarters, $26.37 in cash, along with a generous amount of essential items.
We are incredibly grateful for your support.
More details coming soon ~ We hope you can join our Walking School Bus
The 411 on Evacuation Drills
While many of you may know that we have an evacuation drill each month, you may not know what the responsibility of the drivers in our lot are.
1. If you see students in the lot, DO NOT ENTER
This is for everyone’s safety - students / staff / emergency personnel
2. If you are in the parking lot, PARK
Cars should not be moving through the area when the building is evacuated.
3. If there is no parking, please pull as close to the parked cars as possible.
Again, this is for the safety of all students / staff / emergency personnel that may be in the parking lot.
4. Please stay in your car and wait for directions.
If this is a drill, we will release you as soon as we are allowed back in the building. If this is more than a drill, you will be given direction by the emergency personnel as to what to do next.
Drills will usually last less than 5 minutes. Your help in
keeping our staff and students safe is appreciated.
