πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸ’™ FUN RUN VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! πŸ’™πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ

Our MSC Fun Run is THIS FRIDAY, October 16, and we still have a few volunteer spots left to fill!

We have really tried to make this year’s Fun Run a memorable experience for our students, with a morning packed with fun activities and opportunities for our Lancers to just enjoy being together. Now we could use a few more parents to help us bring it all together!

If you’re available Friday morning and would like to just come out, help where needed, and be part of the fun, we would LOVE to have you. Even a little bit of your time can make a BIG difference!

πŸ–€ A BITTERSWEET GOODBYE & AN EXCITING NEW CHAPTER AT MSC! πŸ’™

First, I want to extend a HUGE congratulations to Mrs. Andrix, who will be moving on to a new opportunity at our district's Administration Building!

For those who know Mrs. Andrix, you know she has truly been the heart and soul of our main office! Her kindness, dedication, sense, and willingness to go above and beyond for our students, families, and staff have made an incredible difference at MSC.

On a personal note, I cannot thank her enough for everything she has done for me and our school. A principal is only as good as the people surrounding him, and I have been incredibly fortunate to have Mrs. Andrix by my side. She will be missed more than she knows! While we are sad to see her leave Central, we couldn't be happier for her as she begins this exciting next chapter. Their gain is certainly our loss! πŸ’™

At the same time, I am thrilled to announce that Mr. Aulwes will be moving from our front office into the role of Principal's Secretary! πŸŽ‰

Mr. Aulwes is already a familiar face to our students, families, and staff, and we are excited to see him take on this new responsibility. I know he will do a fantastic job!

Please join me in congratulating BOTH Mrs. Andrix and Mr. Aulwes! We are so grateful for everything they bring to our Central family.

πŸš—βš οΈPARKING LOT UPDATE – STUDENT SAFETY REMINDER

MSC Families – We want to remind everyone to PLEASE USE EXTREME CAUTION when entering, driving through, and exiting our parking lot, especially during afternoon pickup.

With our new parking lot layout, students are sometimes crossing one or even two lanes of traffic to reach their vehicles. This makes it extremely important that everyone DRIVES SLOWLY, STAYS ALERT, AND WATCHES FOR STUDENTS!

🚸 Crosswalks are coming! We are working toward additional markings to help improve student safety.

πŸ‘€ Designated staff members are stationed throughout the parking lot to help monitor students and traffic, but we need everyone's cooperation!

Please be patient, avoid distractions, and ALWAYS yield to students crossing the parking lot.

We understand pickup can get busy, and we truly appreciate everyone's patience as we continue improving our procedures.

Nothing is more important than the safety of our Lancers! πŸ’™πŸ–€

Thank you for doing your part to keep ALL our students safe!

⚾πŸ₯Ž BASEBALL & SOFTBALL ARE COMING TO MSC!

We are excited to continue moving forward with our MSC Baseball and Softball programs! We are currently conducting interviews to select coaches for both teams and can't wait to get things rolling!

Representatives from both programs will be available during BOTH Parent-Teacher Conference dates, October 14 & 15. We encourage interested families to stop by, ask questions, learn more about the programs, and sign up their students if they are interested in participating!

Both programs are open to ALL MSC students in grades 6–8!

We are excited to provide even more opportunities for our Lancers to get involved, represent their school, and be part of something special!

πŸˆπŸ’™ MSC FAMILIES – HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL UPDATE

I apologize for any confusion regarding tonight's football game and future high school sporting events.

Having been a high school administrator myself, I understand the challenges when unsupervised middle school students attend games primarily to socialize rather than support the teams. Unfortunately, a few incidents involving students from Central and South led high school administration to tighten attendance expectations.

It's disappointing when the actions of a few impact opportunities for so many great kids.

On a positive note, Mrs. Samborsky specifically praised our MSC football players for doing an AMAZING job representing Central! πŸ‘πŸˆ

We appreciate your understanding and hope our students can continue enjoying these experiences while representing MSC with pride! πŸ’™πŸ–€

πŸ’™ Lancer List: The Heart of MSC πŸ’™

At Middle School Central, the Lancer List is everything. More than just a reward system, it is the foundation of our school culture and reflects our commitment to helping every student succeed both academically and socially. Students earn their place on the Lancer List by consistently demonstrating our MSC expectations: Make Smart Choices, Show Up & Be Prepared, and Commitment to Learning. Students who meet these expectations gain access to many of the experiences that make middle school memorable, including dances, assemblies, field trips, athletics, extracurricular activities, and other special events. The Lancer List isn't about perfectionβ€”it's about accountability, growth, and making positive choices every day. At MSC, we believe that when students embrace the Lancer List, they are building habits that will lead to success both inside and outside the classroom. Lancer List is who we are, and it drives everything we do.
