Morgan Adams
Did you know Sand Creek has over 13 students participating in a work study/apprentice program? The Aggie Academic Center recognizes that there are many paths to learning and this is just one of many!
Morgan Adams is a senior at Sand Creek. Her junior year, Morgan enrolled in the Dental program at the LISD TECH Center. This year, Morgan is continuing that experience as a co-op student at Sylvania Pediatric Dental Care. Through this program Morgan spends part of her day in the dental office earning money and gaining hands on experience!
The Counseling Center would also like to continue to recognize the LISD TECH Center for all of their hard work partnering with us and helping us to support and secure these placements for our students at Sand Creek.

U.S. Department of Education Announces Early Launch of 2026-27 FAFSA
The U.S. Department of Education has officially launched the 2026-27 Free Application for Federal Student Aid. The FAFSA is the only way for students to access the Michigan Achievement Scholarship and Community College Guarantee, as well as other vital financial aid like federal Pell Grants and institutional scholarships, for the 2026-27 academic year.
Completing the FAFSA remains the single most important step for students — especially students who would be the first in their family to go to college, students from low-income backgrounds, and students from underrepresented populations — to access affordable pathways to postsecondary degrees and certificates.

Michigan College Month (October)
October is Michigan College Month! I am busy planning activities and supports for the month of October and will announce them soon, but in the meantime I wanted to get out the college application waiver codes. This is hot off the press! Please pay attention to deadlines. Note: MSU only waives the fee during the ten day window of Oct. 1-10. You'll find a list of all public and private, 2-year and 4-year colleges in Michigan, on the first link below. You can find institution-specific information, such as admissions, application, and financial aid, using this link.
Transcript Requests
All official transcripts orders are processed from Parchment. Transcripts may be ordered at any time. You also always have the option to access unofficial transcripts in Infinite Campus once they have been updated. All the needed links should be attached below. You can obtain this in Infinite Campus by following the directions below. Reminder-requesting transcripts is free through Parchment until mid-June of the year you graduate. At some point in the summer Parchment will begin to charge a small fee.
