2020 In Review

2020 was a curveball but that didn't stop our P-CEP community from reading! Check it out our year in review below!

Set a Reading Goal for 2021

Setting a goal for anything can be overwhelming and anxiety inducing but it doesn't have to be!

  • Do you like to read? There's no right answer to this question. If you do, great! You can push yourself to read more, less or consider different genres. If you don't, no problem! Consider a reading goal to push yourself to consume media in a new way.
  • Think about your "why". As with most things, knowing your "why" gives you some investment and purpose to what you're doing. So what's your "why"?
  • Where are the books coming from? You have access to eBooks and Audiobooks through Sora by Overdrive as a PCCS Student and through your Public Library. You also have access to print books through your PCCS Libraries and your Public Libraries. If you're goal is to read only print books, make sure you have a way to get to the library to pick up your books!

Once you're ready to set your goal, you'll want a way to track it! We really enjoy utilizing Goodreads and BookRiot! We also love the BookRiot Read Harder Challenge and encourage you to utilize it as a jumping off point.

That being said, email ME! I'll want to know what the last thing that you listened to, read or watched was and LOVED. That will help me match you up with some solid options.

  • Project Lit is a grassroots Twitter movement to push for more diverse and representative reading in young adult literature. Twice a year, they announce the newest list of Project Lit picks by age group and book clubs around the country read and discuss! Check out our chapter on Twitter @ProjectLITPCCS
