Cohort Update "Strength" 2022
"History in the Making" (5/17/21)
- Strength -
Greetings to the class 2022 and to the Warrior Nation,
Might, Power, Force, and Energy are all terms that can be used interchangeably to represent the word Strength. Most of the time we refer to Strength as a representation of the muscle mass or how forceful something is done, but what I'm talking about is a little different in nature. I'm referring to the overall strength that all of us possess to make a huge impact on our lives and within our communities. It may involve being resistant to drama. It may mean taking a step back from what we have always done, out of comfort or routine, to try something that may positively broaden our horizons or culture. Or, it could be simply taking the time to take care of ourselves versus jumping in the mix and being in everyone else's business. Whatever the case may be, I challenge each of us to tap into our inner strength so we can be stronger for our communities and each other. Imagine if each of us could really lean on the person next to us without fear of being judged or for fear that that person would let us down? Woah...imagine how strong the Warrior Nation could become! Let's stick together as one family and get through these last 2 weeks as the mighty Warriors that we are! Be strong team...WE can Do This!!!
Have a super week and flex those muscles for education!!!
WC-Strong!

Strength: We generally speak about it in the physical sense, but it can relate to our emotional status, mental well being, or our character traits. In the end...being strong is about having the GRIT to finish what you start! Strength is about persevering and enduring to the point of success. Having the spirit and spunk to utilize your strengths to get done what needs to be done. Our strengths may differ and you may even have days where maximum strength is required to get you through the day. Please believe that you are capable of realizing all of your goals and all of your dreams. I am so thankful that we have one another to lean on through this journey. Remember, if and when you need a little extra power, or you are not feeling as strong as you would like to feel, stop by the office so WE can provide the additional encouragement to get you through. We are here for you!!!
Have a super week and get your FLEX on!
- Never stop trying...
- Never stop believing...
- Never give up on yourself...
- Because you are enough...
Guess who Loves you?

From Mrs. Boyd - your Cohort Secretary!!!
Team, can you believe that we have just 2 weeks of schooling that remain for this academic year? It is so crazy that just a few semesters ago, we were in the Academy trying to figure out everything and get adjusted to a new way of doing things! Now look at us standing tall and showing our Strength and determination to finish this race as Seniors! I'm here for you each day, so make sure you swing by for any support and motivation that you may need. Let's lock it down for 2 more week and do whatever needs to be done to get those credits! Get to classes on time and turn in every assignment that you can for any and all points that you can get. You KNOW I'm cheering for you...Whoop Whoop!!!!!
Remember, If you have a new phone number, email address or new address where you live please get that information to me as soon as possible. If you have moved or your address has changed you must provide me with a new lease or mortgage and utility bill information.
Work permits are still being accepted. You can come by with your completed forms and I will look up all of your information to see if you will granted permission to be employed and earn some good money this semester. FYI...school work comes first!
You have 24 hours each day to make moves, use your time wisely!!!
Mrs. Boyd - virtual hugs!!!

The Strength we need from the class of 2022....
This week we're talking about Strength, so we wanted to talk about a type of strength that isn't as obvious, and that certainly isn't discussed enough. We want to talk about having the strength to say "I need help."
As a school, as a city and as a society as a whole, we all have been tested on our strength to ask for help during this pandemic and uncertain times of social injustice. We have to be able to get past the stigma of thinking that "I can do it all by myself", or "I'm weak because I need some help". It is OK and normal to ask for help and to be OK with receiving help from others within the community or professionals within the school.
In reality, it takes much more strength to ask for help than to not ask for it, and so many of you have shown that strength this school year. Getting the help needed to understand the lessons and earn credits. Asking for assistance from trusted adults and family members and letting people around you know when you are not OK shows great strength and we appreciate you for it. We are so proud of you for doing what is best for your neighbor, but we are most proud that you have done what was necessary to take care of yourselves mentally, emotionally and physically. Keep pushing team...we are almost done!
It is critical that each of you remember to check your emails at least a few times each week to stay informed and connected. There is a lot of information that's going to come your way in the weeks to come to ensure that you are ready for graduation. Please don't miss any opportunities, so get in the habit now of staying current with communication from the school.
If you have a questions about what's going on and you're not sure where to look, the 2022 Cohort Canvas page is a great place to start (it's also located at the bottom of this newsletter)!
Please remember to reach out to Mr. Fletcher with questions about SAT/ACT, fee waivers, scholarships, college applications, and all things related to preparing to continue your education. gfletche@warren.k12.in.us
Don't forget that we love you...
Don't forget that we're proud of you...
Most importantly, don't forget to love and be proud of yourself!
We LOVE you 2022...
Ms. Reynolds (A-K)
Mr. Howe (L-Z)
