A Message from Principal Thornton
Dear Brilliance Families,
Thank you for another incredible week at The Brilliance School! We appreciate your continued partnership and the ways you support our scholars each day. As we prepare for the week ahead, please review these important academic reminders and upcoming opportunities to connect with our school community.
Report Cards and Parent–Teacher Conferences
Report cards will be available on Friday, October 23, and the gradebook closes on Tuesday, October 20. Please take time to review your scholar’s progress and discuss their accomplishments, areas for growth, and goals for the next quarter.
Teachers have reached out to families of scholars who currently have a D or F in a subject. Please check your email and respond to schedule a parent–teacher conference. These conversations are an important opportunity to understand your scholar’s learning needs, review classroom expectations, and develop a clear plan for a stronger second quarter. We want every scholar to have the support, encouragement, and accountability needed to succeed.
Join Us for the Fall Festival
We are excited to bring our Brilliance community together for our Fall Festival on Thursday, October 29, from 5:00–6:30 PM! Please register your family to attend. The entry fee is $5.
We have a fun evening planned with face painting, pumpkin decorating, a cornhole station, a hot chocolate station, and trunk-or-treat. We look forward to spending time with our families, making memories, and celebrating our school community. Your participation helps make these events special for our scholars!
Support Our Student Council’s First Sock & Hat Drive
Our amazing Student Council is putting leadership into action through its first sock and hat drive! All donated hats and socks will go to Murtis Taylor to support members of our community.
Please help our student leaders reach their goal of 100 hats and 100 pairs of socks. Every donation brings them closer to that goal and shows our scholars how small acts of kindness can make a meaningful difference. We are proud to see them take initiative, serve others, and represent Brilliance with purpose.
Thank you for trusting us with your scholars and for continuing to work alongside our teachers and staff. Please help your scholar prepare for Monday by checking their backpack, organizing their materials, and making sure they are ready to begin the week on time and prepared to learn.
Enjoy your weekend! We look forward to welcoming our scholars back on Monday for another week of learning, growth, and Brilliance.
Built on PRIDE. Driven by Excellence.
