3 Recycling Regatta boats were found by community members
On Monday June 8, 2026 one of our DMS secretaries, Mrs. Deb Zieminski took a phone call from a Nicole Croteau. She was reporting that two of our boats had washed up on her shore. She retrieved the boats and found the Finder's Notes from Bella M and Logan. She offered to bring that boats back, but Mrs. Z assured her that were destined for her recycling bin.
On Wednesday, June 10, 2026 the Ide Family found one more boat that had washed up on their shore. See the map below. Mr. Ide returned the Finder's Note written by Phoenix, Logan and Kaiden, recycling the rest of the ship for us.

Au Revoir to Our Original Crew Members
Fourteen members of our original group of 50 students have remained involved throughout the years, creating countless memories and experiences along the way. Below is a summary of their remarkable journey.
To describe these students as outstanding would be an understatement. They have consistently represented themselves, our school, and our program with maturity and professionalism in academic settings. At the same time, they have embraced every opportunity for fun and adventure, sharing unforgettable moments on van and bus trips, building lasting friendships, and creating memories on the water that will stay with them for years to come.
Cheers to the original crew! Best of luck in high school and beyond.

AU REVOIR: an expression of good wishes when someone leaves
USS CASSIN YOUNG: Built in 1943 in San Pedro, California, USS Cassin Young is one of 175 Fletcher-class destroyers built during World War II. USS Cassin Young engaged in seven Pacific battles in World War II, survived two Kamikaze hits, and served another full decade beyond the ship's expected lifetime. Here in Charlestown, this navy yard built dozens of similar ships during the war. In the 1950s, Cassin Young and many other destroyers received regular repairs and modernization in Charlestown.
Maintained by the National Park Service and an army of dedicated park volunteers, Cassin Young remains to this day as a testament to the ship's crews and ship workers.
USS CONSTITUTION: the world's oldest commissioned warship afloat and America's Ship of State, promotes the United STates Navy and America's naval heritage through educational outreach, public access and historic demonstrations both in port and underway in Boston Harbor.
