• Call to Order
• August Minutes approved

Old Business:

• Professional Development Update-tabled for next meeting

• The PPC Bylaws were rewritten last year were approved

>PPC will send a copy to Kendra Clay for her advisement

>Copy to be posted in a work room

>Digital Copy will be sent to all Classified Staff

• BITTs Contract Extension Update:

>Last School year an optional 5 days were approved for BITTs who needed extra time to complete End of Year work. These extra days were to be paid on a timesheet rather than extended contracts due to the varying needs at each school.

• Paul Miller offered 3 days to be paid on Timesheet

for BITTs who opted to start early in order to prepare for the opening of the 2022-2023 school year.

>Question: How many days will be offered for EOY for the 2022-2023 School year?

--Kelly advised asking Paul Miller

• How to increase Classified Staff use of email

>New Staff receive onboarding with instructions on how to login to their email account

Committee would like to ensure instructions are available in Spanish.

>Possible resolutions are to offer training to new employees or create video tutorials in English & Spanish for new users to be sent out

• Treehouse Pantry

>Staff are having issues signing up. Issues are being investigated to streamline the process

>Remember to pick up items please bring a printed copy or digital copy of your appointment with you.

• PPC SMORE Update & Input form

>Remember to check your email and the PPC website for resources

>To submit Questions to the Classified PPC, email a PPC representative or use our input form. >Questions can be submitted anonymously

• Classified Banquet

>No set date but the plan is to bring back the Classified Banquet-Kelly Hayes

• New PPC Members & Vacancies

The committee approve appointment of

-Child Nutrition Representative: Sandy Peterson-replacing Vicky Reed

-Social Worker: Britni Helms

• Vacancies:

-Technology-New Position

-Paraprofessional-vacant

Discussion Topic for October:

-The PPC bylaws state that each representative is elected to serve 2 years with representatives and staggered ensure the PPC isn’t starting over with all new members each year.

Example:

Position 1 = 2 year term (ending in odd-numbered years)

Position 2 = 2 year term (ending in even-numbered years)

-How do we rectify the situation to ensure all of the current representatives don’t roll off at the same time?

Sharing Tables in the Cafeteria

-Can students have a sharing table?

-It can be done, but there are several restrictions that have to be followed to ensure food safety and that we are following USDA guidelines.

Will Covid Leave Be reinstated?

-No, sick days should be used for COVID-19 related absences

Shortage on Subs:

-We have a 90% fill rate.

-We still need subs and have several open classified positions.

New PPC Calendar approved:

-PPC Committee meetings will meet on the 2nd Thursday of the following months:

-September, October, January, February, April, May. (Additional Meetings in November or December only if a need arises)

What are the current guidelines for missing work if you have COVID-19:

-Follow the CDC guidelines
