BHS Updates & Announcements
Embrace the power of empathy and connection: It's National Social Emotional Learning Week, March 4-8!
Across the country, there is overwhelming support and demand for social and emotional learning (SEL). Young people, educators, families, business leaders, and others are focused on the critical skills and environments needed for academic success, healthy relationships, and brighter futures. Studies show that social-emotional learning (SEL) improves well-being and academic outcomes, builds a positive school climate, and provides children with the necessary skills to excel in today’s workforce. This year’s focus for SEL Week is “Today’s Students, Tomorrow’s Leaders.” As a school, we want to express the importance and impact of social-emotional learning. Together, as a community, we can raise awareness for SEL, bring on new stakeholders, create artifacts that demonstrate SEL in action and share best practices.
