Hello Indian Trail Families,
Welcome to the third month of 2021! We are having a blast here at ITIS as we roll into the Spring Semester! There are many exciting things happening around campus in the next couple of months. Here’s the scoop on what’s happing at ITIS this Spring.
Construction at ITIS- Preston Construction is nearing completion on the brand-new CDC Suite, and crews will begin renovations on science classrooms in mid-February. The science classrooms located in Bear, Coyote, Deer, and Wolf will be temporarily relocated throughout February and March. Our new storage building in the back is taking shape and will be done in midsummer.
Testing WIDA- WIDA testing for ESL students will start Thursday, February 4th. WIDA is a part of state testing that counts towards our school’s accountability score for 2020-2021. These tests assess our English Language Learners academic abilities in reading, writing, listening and speaking.
Checkpoints- 3rd Quarter Checkpoints will begin February 23rd-February 26th in Math, ELA, and Science.
TCAPS- TN Ready state testing for all students will take place April 12th-May 6th.
ITIS Food Drive-ITIS always takes pride in serving our community. Mrs. Davis will be leading our Second Harvest Food Drive this month. Please be looking out for more information on this annual community service project.
ITIS Student Athletic Teams- We have several Indian Trail students participating in athletic teams at LBMS. We are very proud of our student-athletes and their hard work. Thank you for your continued support through the 2020-2021 school year.
