DocTalk – Episode 01 – Senior Editors of the Pirate Yearbook

WELCOME BACK, Pirate Nation,

I’m excited to share something new with you, DocTalk, a podcast hosted by the talented Piper High School broadcasting team! This podcast is truly student-driven, from planning and recording to editing and producing. I’m simply along for the ride, joining these amazing students as we talk about all things Piper including school events, student achievements, behind-the-scenes stories, and the traditions that make our community so special. This is what our motto, #FUTUREREADY, is all about - empowering students with real-world skills, creativity, and confidence.

Each episode gives you a front-row seat to conversations that celebrate the heart of Piper High School: our people. From the voices behind the camera to the leaders in the classroom and beyond, DocTalk is all about sharing the pride, passion, and Pirate spirit that connect us all.

In our very first episode, I had the pleasure of meeting the talented broadcasting and yearbook editing team who are bringing Piper’s story to life one conversation at a time. I hope you’ll listen in and enjoy getting to know them as much as I did.

With heartfelt appreciation,

Dr. Jessica Dain, Superintendent

A MESSAGE FROM DS BUS LINES A MESSAGE FROM DS BUS LINES

Please note that bus times and stop locations are subject to change as additional students are added to routes. We recommend checking your student’s transportation itinerary regularly in Skyward to stay up to date. If you have any questions or concerns, you’re welcome to email the transportation department (jack.andrade@dsbuslines.com) or call our office directly (913-721-9019)— we’re happy to help.

To assist families in locating bus stops within subdivisions, temporary signage has been posted at designated locations. These signs will remain in place for two weeks and will then be removed by our drivers.

Family App Available for Real-Time Bus Tracking

You can also use the Family App to view your child’s bus route in real time. If you experience any issues with the app, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us for support.
