Attendance at Rockbrook

What Students & Their Parent/Guardians Need to Know

Attendance atRockbrook What Students & Their Parent/Guardians Need toKnow
  • Students should be in their Class by 8:30 AM every day.
  • If a student is going to be late or absent, it is essential that their parent/guardian contact the school. A call or email to both their teacher and Ms. Paula (baldozier.paula@westside66.net) is great!
  • Important learning still happens on 1/2 Days and late start days. We appreciate your student being present.

Parents may also email BOTH their child's teacher and Ms. Paula to communicate an absence (baldozier.paula@westside66.net)

Appointments

Please attempt to make appointments early or late in the day to reduce missed classroom time.

Remember to bring a note from the provider to the main office so it can be logged in the attendance record.

Plan Around School Breaks

In education, every minute matters. Please make every effort to plan vacations, trips, and student absences around school breaks.

Role Model the Importance of Education

Students learn about the importance of being on time and accountable at school, work, & other obligations by watching the adults in their lives. This is an essential life skill we can all teach them together.

**School staff recognize that some students have unique situations that may affect their attendance (health conditions, IEP’s, injuries, etc) which require a more individualized approach to the attendance guidelines.
