Take 5 for Tech
Let's Collab! (2023)
HOW to Request Help
If you want to get crackin' with tech and want my help, there are several ways to do that.
- Make an appointment at a time that works for you.(appointment calendar) Include what you need & how we will connect. Specifics might be, "Let's do a Google Meet about Google Form conditional questions", "Call me at 867-5309 to brainstorm eportfolio ideas" or "I would like a Chrome Remote Session so you can help me integrate Kami into GC."
- I love getting DMs through Google Chat (which is embedded just below the inbox in your gmail). In fact, I do a lot of of support that way. I get instant notifications and if I'm working on something at my computer, I can often stop and help the person who DMed me faster than if I have to read through my emails. See the "Helpful Google Chat Features" button below for more on Google Chat.
- I built a Google Form to get information to support teacher creation and collaboration requests.
- I also give assistance by taking over your computer on a case-by-case basis using Chrome Remote Desktop, which is located under WCCC Bookmarks. (See the Computer Take-Over Slide Deck to get specifics how to give & receive remote assistance.)
Below I've included reminders on my websites where you can find resources I've created or compiled for you. They're a great place to start when you have those nagging questions. I work regularly to make sure that the websites stay up-to-date and current.
Where to FIND help
If you want to incorporate a new tool or collaborate, but aren't quite ready yet, I want to highlight the many places you can go to set something up when you are ready!
1) WCCC Bookmarks include these two websites (See right image)
- WCCC Tech Resources (website) This includes all district tech info, as well as Google Classroom & Canvas resources. The links to request help or collaborate are on the website home page.
- WCCC Virtual Library (website) This includes many free & handy digital resources. The links to request help or collaborate are on the Teacher Resources page.
- Note: Early this school year I double-checked with John Reeder to confirm that Satellite Teachers have WCCC Bookmarks on Chrome. He reiterated that if teachers are logged into their WCCC Chrome Browser, then the school-generated bookmarks will be there. If it isn't there or you need help figuring this out, please email me.
2) Below the signature in ALL of my emails (image #2 below)
- For years, the important links have been included on my initial emails. Today I changed it to include all emails. Yay!
3) Smores
- Three links in my emails are in the bio at the bottom of my Smores. Also there is a button to contact me that I started including once they did this update in the new Smore editor. (image #3 below)
- Smore Folders are organized by topic and available for staff that has accepted a Smore invitation. (image #4 below)

Help me help you (Tech Preference Form)
I am working to create an assistance plan that will best serve all staff regardless of your location. The following Teacher Tech Help Form is in my signature, Smores and on my websites, but I hope that teachers to fill it out today. In fact, everyone who submits this survey will be entered into a contest to win a prize!
