This week Ms. Bongard has chosen Ericija Kile, from Mrs. Havens’ class, as student of the week. Ericija is always full of smiles, she loves to learn and help others. She is just so much fun to get to teach. Ericija’s favorite things about school are math, science, and getting to earn stickers for good work. Her favorite books are all the “Dog Man” books. Keep up the fantastic work Ericija!

The Governor now as the bill on her desk to sign which will give TAS one more forgiven day. She is expected to sign this after the Memorial Day weekend. The passing of this bill and the action that was required by the Board of Education leads to how we will be ending our school year. Friday, June 13 will be a full day; Monday, June 16 will be a full day. The last day Tuesday, June 17 will be a half day ending at 11:20 a.m.

WE NEED students present. The daily rate of state aid we receive from the state is $14,323,26. We MUST meet the state requirements to receive that amount . We don't meet the requirements the state will deduct money from the district on the October state aid payment to the district. Attendance percentage is 75% for Friday, June 13, as this was the orginial scheduled end of school. June 16 and 17th is at 60% as these are made up days.

We understand that this is hard for all. Next year there won't be construction to deal with and the district is looking into different options on snow days, if the future winters are as bad as this past one. We appreciate your patience as the district waited for confirmation from the state. WE NEED STUDENTS PRESENT ON THE MAKE-UP DAYS.
